After letting his emotions run their course for just a few seconds, Daemon took a deep breath, and returned to his usual neutral expression.

He gave one last look at the cityscape under the afternoon glow of the sun, then went back inside. This was a place he bought, and which would be his home for the foreseeable future. It had not been cheap, as one would expect from a luxurious penthouse, but Henry James had not lied, and he had managed to satisfy him, very much so.

As for the uncertainty for the long-term status of the place as his home, it was because he was not sure he wanted his son to live at such heights where a little bit of childish recklessness could lead to a tragedy. So when he managed to get him to live together with him, he might look for another place.
