Bab 43: 043 - From the ashes: That year

The voice had not changed much from what he remembered. More mature after six years, but still with that underlying softness that could melt hearts.

Daemon lifted his gaze, and his sight stopped on the legs beside him. But actually, his mind had already flown away at that moment, the legs only making him immersed himself even more in another scene of the past, on his first day in the third grade of highschool, where the words spoken by that same voice that had instead been:

"Hi, Damien. I am Evelyn, Evelyn Softsnow. Can you help me with my math assignment please?"

At that time, he had also raised his head slightly from what he had been doing on his desk, and his sight had stopped on legs just as beautiful back then, only less ripe.
