Susan Hawk leaned back in the car seat, her eyes dazed and continuously mumbling words that Ethan Carter couldn't understand.

At this moment, Ethan was gripping the steering wheel with both hands, his gaze supposed to be on the road ahead, but it couldn't help but shift to the rearview mirror, observing the woman in the passenger seat.

The atmosphere was enchanting in the night, the outside streetlights filtering through the car window onto Susan's delicate face, causing Ethan to be momentarily captivated by her.

Ethan tightened his grip on the steering wheel and pursed his thin lips, slowly diverting his gaze.

"I must become filthy rich and skinny!" Susan raised her hands and shouted loudly, smiling as she spoke nonsensically.

"Mhm." Ethan went along with her.

Before she could say much more, Susan felt a sudden wave of nausea in her stomach, feeling sick.

Susan dry heaved a few times, prompting Ethan to frown.
