She was in a great mood but it wasn't the same for Lydia. Obviously, she would've coughed out blood hearing the holy word 'marriage' but for now the drink was enough. She quickly wiped her mouth and with a forced smile she spoke, "How is that possible. Dating is different from marriage. From what I think, my rank is too low to be the one to marry Ethan. It is disheartening but I really think we don't fit. If not for these feelings, I wouldn't have dated him knowing that living together for the rest of our live is impossible." Her self-piteous tone was of no use in front of the sly and smart madam.
