Bab 31: Part 2: Chapter 31: Settle the divorce or obey God

He had to settle the divorce. Then his thoughts steered towards Sonia. Ever since he met her, his dreams had meaning. She left him with a sense of belonging, filling a hole he did not realise he had before he met her. The promise he made was one he wanted to keep, and he prayed every night for her protection. It was a constant awareness that stayed with him.

During the night's quietness, he relived the moments of passion they shared - a passion that stirred his body and every night he wanted her. He dreamed about her as she laughed. The day at the Barrakka Gardens she was vibrant and happy. She enjoyed the scenery, the way she wrapped her arms around him. He missed her, even though his feelings were wrong. He felt like a hypocrite when he talked to Vivian. He condemned her, but did the same thing in his mind.
