Bab 9: The Strongest first year
Seeing frozen Nomu fell on the ground and his body going numb because of staying in a frozen state for too long, Tomura shouted, "AllMight isn't here. Nomu is already down, forget about those masses and let's just get out of here. I can't feel anything down below my neck. Let's return quickly.
Before Aizawa look at him and cancel his Quirk, Kurogiri immediately warped Tomura and disappeared from there. As soon as he disappeared, Hiro who was panting, breathe out air with relief and calmed down while putting on his earrings back. Meanwhile, Aizawa who reached his limit sighed with relief and fell unconscious after saying, "the enemy retreated. That's great." He was immediately caught by Midoriya who came out with a few of his fingers injured.
Shoto walked towards Hiroto who was absorbing the Ice into his hands and freeing it while looking at its unconscious body. He asked, "is it dead?" Hiroto shook his head, "not yet. Just unconscious. If it was a normal human, then they would have died in a -100C temperature but its resistance is damn high. Thanks for the help, anyways" as Hiro smiled and thanked him, Shoto looked away and replied, "I didn't help you. I only wanted to defeat this thing. But why did you free that thing?" Shoto then froze it again until its neck and said, "it was able to survive at -100 C, nothing would happen at -5 to -10 C anyway. Who knows when it wakes up and tries to run."
Meanwhile, the exit that was frozen by Shoto's Ice attack was destroyed from outside as AllMight arrived. As soon as he steps inside, he grits his teeth looking at the half-destroyed thirteen and a few students who started tearing up in happiness. He patted Uraraka's head, "don't worry anymore. I'm here. Young Iida will soon reach here with other teachers."
And then he disappeared and started beating up all the small villains he saw. As he reached the central plaza, he saw a frozen Nomu was laying down there and Hiroto and Shoto guarding it in case any one of the villains tries to steal it and escape.
Meanwhile, Aizawa was carried by Midoriya who was walking and screamed in happiness as he saw the Symbol of Peace, "AllMight."
AllMight reached there and asked, "what happened?" while looking at Aizawa whose elbow was badly damaged and the skin ripped off and showing the raw muscle. Hiro sighed as he said, "you are late. The enemy escaped while we captured this thing which was supposedly created to counter you. Not sure why they think this is invincible."
AllMight patted Hiroto and Shoto's shoulder, "you did great." Shoto replied, "I didn't do anything. He was the one who defeated it." Hiroto looked at him in surprise and said, "what are you saying? If Aizawa sensei hadn't erased its quirk and you hadn't frozen the ground and then tried to attack him that was intercepted by the warp guy, I wouldn't have pulled off the feat."
Shoto coldly replied, "It doesn't change the fact that you are the one who stopped him in the end. Anyway, since AllMight is here, I think I don't need to be here any longer guarding it. I'm leaving to clean up the Villains."
As he left, Hiro sighed while AllMight patted his shoulder once again, "I'll leave it to you until the police arrive then. Don't worry, with me here, no one will try to steal it."
After AllMight went away to care of the Villains in other zones, Hiroto stayed there and guard it. A while later, Iida arrived with the other teachers who stood there awkwardly as the battle was already over and all the Villains were down on the ground
While all the villains along with the Nomu are apprehended by the police, investigator Naomasa Tsukauchi asked Hiro and Shoto a few questions since they directly confronted the enemy's leader.
Later, every one of them returned to the class while Midoriya went to the infirmary to heal his fingers.
The next day, the incident was on news all-day which reports that the U.A. high school students were attacked by an organization named League of Villains whose actual target was AllMight. Then, they praised class 1A students for holding them well until AllMight arrived. The main highlight of the news was Todoroki twins, children of Endeavor who defeated one of three main villains out of those 74 villains who attacked while 72 of them are arrested and 2 managed to escape before AllMight and the teachers reached USJ.
While the school was temporarily closed down and the teachers were discussing the info Aizawa gained about the enemy while fighting them, Hiro was reassuring his mother on the phone, "I'm completely fine, mom. There isn't even a scratch on me."
Meanwhile, Shoto was sitting before Enji in the training room and asked him seriously, "father, tell me everything you know about Hiroto's Quirk." Enji grinned, "so, you finally saw his strength with your own eyes, huh? But first, you should know of something else. Have you heard of the hero codenamed Ice Lord?"
Shoto nodded, "who in the japan wouldn't know about him. The legendary hero died while saving millions of people from the disaster when four Volcanic eruptions at once in the Kansai region, decades ago."
"His name is Kobayashi Mayo and he's your maternal grandfather, Shoto," replied Enji surprising Shoto. Then, he continued, "and his quirk is Absolute Ice which was inherited by your brother. Absolute Ice means to become one with the Ice. While your Ice won't have any effect on him, rather it would turn to his advantage, your flames will work on him as usual."
A few days later after the school reopened with five times increased security so that it wouldn't happen once again and also because of the upcoming event, Aizawa told the students about the upcoming U.A. school sports festival which is going to be held in two weeks.
While everyone wondered whether it's right to hold such a festival with the USJ incident, Aizawa assured them, "the school festival can't be stopped because of a few villains. Not to mention, security also has been increased five times than before. So, there's is nothing to worry about. Our sports festival in one of Japan's biggest events. All the top Pro heroes will be watching you for scouting purposes. of course, joining a famous hero agency will get you more experience and popularity."
While everyone started to become excited, Shoto mumbled, "this might be the right opportunity." Later in the lunchtime, as Midoriya was called by AllMight to talk about something, Shoto forgot about Hiroto for once and started to wonder what's going on between AllMight and Midoriya.
Meanwhile, at different agencies across the country, Pro heroes are looking at the profiles of class 1A students instead of 3rd years, especially Hiroto, the one who is portrayed in the news as the strongest first year and not only that, a few channels also began to tell that Endeavor's sons are as strong as Pro heroes, which made the Hero agencies to look forward to seeing their performance in the upcoming sports festival.
