Bab 61: Chapter 61

“I just hope we find Cam pretty soon. I don’t want to be here but I’m not leaving without her. That’s my pledge.”

“I think now that things are churning up down there, we may just get the break we’ve been looking for,” she added hopefully.

“Oh! And I did meet some men in the Resistance, so I may be able get some info from them.”

“Do you think they know where she is?”

“I haven’t asked yet. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they knew a lot of what was happening in this government.”

“Then maybe this isa start,” Maggie said, sighing hopefully.

“I hope so, Maggie. I hope so.” Silently he crossed his fingers.

The fighting within the capital was sporadic for several days. Pauly felt nervous going about the city but he tried to keep in touch with what was happening.

He found a recording studio and made a date for the singer and her band to record several songs, some popular in the country and two new ones that the band’s leader had written that Pauly really liked.
