Bab 142: The Evidence

***JAKE'S POV***

The first thing that I noticed when I left the store was the skyline that lay in the distance. I could clearly see the building that Alex's story book dad owned. My character had dealt with him in the past, so it was somewhere that I had been before. I was just glad that she was there when all of this went down. I would have hated it if she was involved in this whole mess. Thank you, Richmond Ivories. If you hadn't invited your daughter to lunch then I would be worried sick about Alex.

As I walked I almost pulled my phone from my pocket and texted her. I almost checked in with her to make sure that she was safe and sound. I guess that I was still a little paranoid.
