Old Master Lawrence finished the last bite of steak, put down his knife and fork, and wiped the corner of his mouth with a napkin. His authoritative eyes turned to Enna Clark and said, "I'm off to take a nap. I'll have the housekeeper take you back."
"There's no need, Grandpa, I can go back by myself."
Old Master Lawrence glanced at her and surprisingly conceded, "Then I'll have the housekeeper escort you out."
"Okay, thank you, Grandpa." This time Enna didn't refuse.
Old Master Lawrence looked satisfied as he glanced at the housekeeper.
Without needing to be asked, the housekeeper already stepped forward from behind him, smiled affectionately at Enna Clark but spoke with proper etiquette, "Miss Clark, please follow me."
Enna stood up, bid a polite farewell to Old Master Lawrence, and then followed the housekeeper's lead.
