"Stop bickering, look over there," I said, pointing to what looked like an army, but they seemed a little different. They were a pretty decent distance away and hadn't noticed us yet, and they were heading in the direction of the massive tree.
"What the hell are they?" JoJo said in an intrigued tone, clearly surprised by the introduction to a completely new and different race.
Some seemed to be beastmen, a combination of a wolf and a human, whilst others looked just like normal humans. But the weirdest part about the group was their mounts, most had ones that looked like a type of dinosaur, but the beast men in particular had something different.
Their mounts looked like an animal, with a similar build to a lion, but were completely different in how they looked and their colour, something I'd never seen before. This just reaffirmed the fact we're in another world, something that's been happening a lot.
"We should hide. Without knowing their purpose we should stay out of their way." I said in a calm tone, trying to get everyone to listen to me without objection.
"Don't worry Raito, I can protect you if they attack us." She patted her flat chest with a confident expression on her face that slowly morphed into a look of expectation, likely wanting to be praised.
"So you have a means to protect yourself, do you mind telling me what it is?" I asked, now more intrigued than ever about this seemingly little girl.
She nodded then said one word, "magic" as if that perfectly answered my question.
'Different species, different worlds and a whole bunch of different powers. I need strength because if I'm not fast I'll be overwhelmed pretty soon.' I reaffirmed my will to grow, in not just strength, but also knowledge. Something that will help me increase my strength in the fastest and most reliable way possible. That's why I must find out about everyone's worlds in as much detail as possible.
Especially Suki's, but that's something I should focus on later, seeing as there's a whole platoon of soldiers, and they don't look weak.
"Hey! Guys, look over here. Let's rest behind this rock whilst we inspect them. I'm all for a brawl, but I don't like these odds, so it's best to wait it out and see." JoJo shouted from a distance, standing next to a reasonably big rock, something that would hide all three of our bodies.
'Whilst he may be annoying, he is somewhat reliable from what I've seen so far. Maybe having him on a team isn't so bad, at least he isn't an idiot. I'm not too sure about this one though.' I thought whilst first inspecting JoJo, then looked down to the girl attached at my hip, a contemplative look in my eyes.
As we all settled behind the rock, being bored and with nothing better to do, I decided to inquire about JoJos world, or more accurately if there's anything unique about it.
-3rd POV, a little distance away-
"hm, I thought I fully prepared myself for this but, I want to be heroic. Of course, wanting something and making it happen are two different things entirely." An unassuming Japanese teenage boy said to the cute girl in a maid outfit and short light blue hair. The Japanese boy had signs of sleep deprivation and alertness on his face, looking like a victim of PTSD, a surprising look on a teenage boy, but not entirely uncommon.
The girl, on the other hand, had a content look on her face, seemingly enjoying being in the presence of the other. Her hair, whilst unusual, seemed to be natural, attesting that this was indeed another world. She had a petite frame and was dressed in a maid's outfit that stopped at the top of her thighs. A black and white colour scheme, and white thigh-high socks covering her legs. All in all, she was a very cute and adorable girl, something that nobody would disagree with.
These two are Subaru and Rem, characters of the popular anime and manga, Re:Zero. This means the world the group chat members are in at the moment happens to be the world of re:zero, a dangerous world with God-like beings.
They, along with the other members of the army, soon reached the towering tree and started to set up camp, something Subaru stopped helping with after failing to successfully set up a tent multiple times, and slowing down the rest of the soldiers.
Subaru, noticing his lack of usefulness here, decided to go explore the trunk of the massive tree, and Rem followed after him as she was already done with the work she was assigned.
Time was slowly passing and the sun was setting. The shadow caused by the Goliath of a tree blended in with the darkness of the night.
The temporary camp was illuminated by torches scattered about. Everyone was working diligently and doing their part to ensure everything worked out. Even in a hectic time like this, it has a peaceful feel to it when looking from above.
