An hour later, we were clambering out of the car at Becket’s Farm, with green padded coats over our green pinafores, and green wellies on our feet, and running into hugs with Felicity and Louise. Auntie Sheila got one too, and even Mrs Carter-Rogers, just to cover all the bases, and we were soon inside what was essentially a safe play area with lots of cute animals to stroke or hold or just look at, whilst our responsible adults could sit in the café in the middle, chatting and keeping an eye on us. It was a bit childish for Kelly, but still good fun, because the twins absolutely loved all the animals, and the rest of us could follow them around and talk to each other. Felicity, as Mummy had mentioned, was put in charge, and she held hands with me and Louise whilst we followed the twins around, playing big sister again, like the good little girls we all were.
