Bab 84: Chapter 78: The Calm Before the Storm

Jingjiang Xu Residence, the servants' quarters.

On the first day of entering the residence, there was nothing miscellaneous to do; they were told that an old servant from inside the mansion would show them around and familiarize them with their duties the next day.

Qin Mo lay on the not-so-large bed, gazing at the wooden ceiling while humming a tune and contemplating his next move.

He had never expected that he would see Su Jinxuan on his first day in the Xu Residence, nor had he expected to be so agitated upon seeing her.

"The young lady hasn't agreed to anything, yet look at you, all pleased with yourself."

The middle-aged man's somewhat mocking voice suddenly echoed in Qin Mo's heart.

Qin Mo's thoughts jolted, and he coughed lightly:

"Old man, you saw Su Jinxuan's reaction as well. There's always a chance."

"Tsk, tsk... Somebody was insisting they were just ordinary friends."

Qin Mo smacked his lips and said with a smile:

"Old man..."
