Maris, Lucan, and Bing strolled through the bustling streets of the plant city. The energy of the place was infectious—plant beings bartered fruits, flowers, and other natural goods with an enthusiasm that almost felt human.
"This is a lively place," Lucan said, observing a pair of plant beings passionately debating over a particularly large glowing fruit.
"Yeah, but... why does everything look so squishy?" Bing asked, poking a nearby display of fruits. The vendor—a tall, vine-covered plant woman—glared at her.
"Don't poke things!" Maris hissed.
"But it's so tempting!" Bing pouted, her curiosity unquenched.
They stopped at a stall filled with sparkling blue fruits. Maris leaned in to inspect them when the vendor, mistaking her for a local, began speaking rapidly in the plant language.
"Uh... Lucan, what's she saying?" Maris asked, glancing at him nervously.
Lucan shrugged. "How would I know? I don't speak... leaf."
