She hesitated for a moment, then slowly reached out and took his hand. "Okay." She said softly. "Just until we're off the bridge, though."

"I'll take what I can get." William said with a smile, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

Dahlia felt a tingling sensation run through her body as William's hand wrapped around hers. It was like a spark of electricity, sending waves of warmth coursing through her veins. She couldn't take her eyes off their joined hands, transfixed by the simple gesture. It was more than just a touch, it was a connection, a moment of intimacy in the midst of uncertainty.
