Wen Chi was busy until almost 7 o'clock and was planning to go back to his own home when he suddenly remembered his mother's words, instructing him to come back to the old house after work.
So he turned the car around.
When he arrived home, Mrs. Wen was muttering in the living room, "He's not coming back, is he? Now that he's grown up, with his wings fully hardened, he's treating my words like a breeze past his ear."
Wen Chi couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time as he realized this was the image his mother had of him.
"Mom, I'm back," Wen Chi greeted her proactively.
Sure enough, Mrs. Wen's eyes lit up when she saw him, "You're back, hurry over for dinner. Knowing you were coming, I made duck soup."
Mrs. Wen was beaming with joy as she pulled Wen Chi to the dining table.
"Okay, thanks, Mom. By the way, didn't you say you had something to discuss?" Wen Chi casually asked as he sat down.
