It was not usual for Jaxon to come and have dinner with Hazel, therefore she was a little bit taken aback when Mary informed her about this.

The royal beta was supposed to be in the supernatural realm with Micah, where he had to assist the king with the preparations for their journey to the east district, but he returned today because of the invitation that the king couldn't attend.

Of course, Hazel refused this, even Sullivan told him that it was not possible for Hazel to meet with the chief of the centaurs in place of the king, but he simply told her to leave the room. 

"You need to learn how to take care of these kinds of issues," Jaxon replied. He put down his cutlery and then looked at Hazel sternly. "You have to get used to this. Pleasure comes with responsibility."
