In the business field, Ye Xingchen became more and more arbitrary. With his strong capital and extensive connections, he recklessly acquired rival enterprises with strong-arm tactics, without any regard for business rules and ethics. For those companies that did not yield, he secretly instructed his men to use improper means to suppress them, such as destroying supply chains and spreading false rumors. At a business summit, Ye Xingchen met the representatives of the Alliance Enterprises head-on. The representatives of the Alliance Enterprises attempted to expose Ye Xing Chen's shady tactics in front of the crowd to discredit him. Ye Xing Chen, however, wore a cold smile on his face and responded in an unhurried manner, "In this mall, only the strong survive. If you guys are capable, feel free to come and compete with me, if not, then obediently get out of my sight, otherwise, I will make you regret being my enemy!" His words were filled with threats and arrogance, making the representatives of the alliance enterprises angry and furious, yet they could do nothing about it. In the end, under Ye Xing Chen's continuous suppression, the power of the Alliance Enterprises gradually weakened, and some of them even went bankrupt and closed down, having to bow down and beg for mercy from Ye Xing Chen. Ye Xing Chen, however, did not have the slightest bit of mercy, as he mercilessly incorporated these enterprises into his business landscape, further consolidating his dictatorial position in the business world.
During this period of constant business strife, Ye Xing Chen's relationship with Lin Wan Er also suffered a huge crisis. Lin Wan Er witnessed Ye Xing Chen's unscrupulous business practices and was pained in her heart. She was well aware of Ye Xing Chen's ability and ambition, but she couldn't accept him trampling on business ethics and other people's interests. Lin Wan Er tried to persuade Ye Xing Chen to return to the right path, she repeatedly took Ye Xing Chen's hand between his busy working hours and said tearfully, "Xing Chen, we already have a lot, why can't we run our business in a gentler and kinder way? Such a you makes me feel so strange." Ye Xing Chen, however, always impatiently shook off her hand and said, "Wan Er, you don't understand. In this world, only the strong can decide everything. Everything I do is for our future." Lin Wan'er looked at his cold eyes, and the love in her heart was gradually replaced by disappointment and coldness.
And although Ye Xing Chen was superficially dismissive of Lin Wan Er's persuasion, deep down there was actually a hint of shaking. Whenever he sat alone in his office in the dead of night, looking at the lights of the city, Lin Wan'er's sad face would appear in his mind. It turned out that this assistant was an undercover agent that the Business Alliance had planted beside him, and had been secretly collecting his business secrets and passing them on to the Alliance. When Ye Xing Chen learned of this news, it was as if he had suffered a bolt from the blue, the anger and shock in his heart was hard to express. How could he not expect that the person he trusted the most would stab him in the back?
He immediately sent people to track down the assistant, but the assistant had long disappeared without a trace. Meanwhile, the Business Alliance utilized the secrets provided by the assistant to launch a fatal strike against Ye Xingchen's company. They launched a product on the market that was extremely similar to Ye Xingchen's core product but at a much lower price, instantly attracting a large number of customers, and Ye Xingchen's market share plummeted. The company was also thrown into disarray internally due to the leakage of secrets, employees were on edge, and many important projects were forced to come to a standstill.
Ye Xingchen was in an unprecedented predicament, but his pride and stubbornness made him refuse to admit defeat easily.
