Bab 24: Was Gabriela Really Conned?
"Mom, come with me." asked Gabriela while stuffing her things into her bag except for her cell phone.
Gabriela chose to hold her cell phone.
Well, instead of asking herself who doesn't even know anything, Gabriela should go immediately to find out about Aris's condition.
Sarah, who had been busy playing with her cellphone, immediately turned to her daughter who seemed to be in a hurry packing her things, "Where are you going, why do you look so rushed?" Sarah asked then got up from her seat when Gabriela walked towards her.
"I just got a call from the police, they said that Aris had an accident and has now been taken to the hospital so I have to go there immediately. Do you want to come with me or do you want to stay here?"
After careful consideration, Gabriela finally told her mother about what was happening to her husband at the moment, even though now she saw her mother's wide smile fade slowly.
hearing Gabriela's words, the mother of two quickly grabbed her bag, "How did Aris get into an accident?! A moment ago he took the time to say goodbye to mom and dad to go out of town."
"This is not the time to ask, Mam. I have to go there immediately and see Aris condition." Gabriela walked ahead of her mother while her eyes never left her cellphone screen.
"Wait, La." Sarah quickly followed Gabriela's footsteps, "How do you know that Aris had an accident, it could just be a prankster trying to trick you."
"No, Mam. They really are from the police side, how could they dare to lie about someone's life."
"But are you sure?" Sarah asked again.
Gabriela slowed down and turned to her mother, "Actually I'm not too sure either, but to prove it I have to go there, Mom."
"Have you tried contacting Aris?"
"Mom, Aris had an accident then how did you tell me to call him."
She took a deep breath.
She was also surprised to hear this news but Sarah tried to stay calm "Just to make sure if it's true if he had an accident or not, it could be that the person calling is a scammer."
Gabriela massaged his forehead, "Gosh, why did they trick me. It's about a person's life, Ma'am. If you don't believe me then let me go there without you."
"Hey hey you can't do that." Sarah held her daughter's arm, "Allow me to come with you, I want to know how Aris is now."
"Okay then come on, don't waste time. I want to know my husband's condition soon, Mom."
Actually Gabriela was only acting as if she cared about Aris because now she was with her mother, if she wasn't with her mother then Gabriela would not necessarily be this worried about her husband's condition.
"Do you know where Aris is being treated?"
Gabriela shook her head, "Not yet. I'm waiting for someone who called me earlier to send the address of the hospital where Aris is being treated."
"Okay, then we'll just go to the car while waiting for that person to send the address." Gabriela nodded her head in agreement, "But wait, I want to tell your father and brother first." Sarah said while reaching into her bag.
"Then what about your two in-laws, La. Are you sure you will tell them? I'm sure they will be surprised to hear that Aris had an accident. They must be sad."
"After all, who wouldn't be sad when they heard that a family member had an accident. Even so, we have to keep Aris's family informed Ma'am, so they can immediately find out about Aris' current condition."
Sarah turned to Gabriela, "Did you contact your in-laws or ma'am mother do it?"
"Do what?" Gabriela asked while raising one of her eyebrows.
"Telling your in-laws about Aris' condition, La. What else can you do."
"You just did it because I'm still waiting for a message from that person. But..." Gabriela prevented her mother from calling, "You'd better tell them all after we find out where Aris is being treated now."
"Ahhh that's right. Okay come on now let's go quickly while waiting for that message."
Gabriela nodded and led her mother out of her room.

Gabriela and her mother had just left her office at the same time as Gabriela's secretary, Rusdi immediately stood up from his seat, not forgetting to bow his head in respect when he saw the wife of the President Director in his office, who was none other than Sarah.
As soon as she saw her secretary, Gabriela immediately walked towards the man, "Mr. Rusdi, please cancel all my scheduled meetings today because I suddenly have urgent business. Director Aris had an accident so I have to go there immediately to check his condition."
"Isn't Director Aris on a business trip out of town, Mrs?"
Gabriela nodded, "True, but on the way to the airport Director Aris had an accident so I have to go there immediately to find out his condition."
"Okay then I will cancel all your scheduled meetings today."
"Thank you very much, Mr Rusdi." Gabriela said.
"It is my duty, Mrs. If I may ask where is Director Aris now, Mrs?"
"I don't know either, I'm waiting for someone who will send the address of the hospital where Director Aris is being treated."
Rusdi nodded in understanding, "Hopefully Director Aris is fine, Mrs."
Gabriela smiled back.
"La, let's go there immediately." Take Sarah.
"Yes, I'll be going then, Sir. Please look after the office during my absence."
Rusdi immediately nodded his head obediently then lowered his head when his boss walked away.
"La, shouldn't we tell your in-laws. About the address it's an easy problem, at least we quickly inform them including your father and brother."
"They must all be busy mom so don't bother them, when the time is right we'll let them know."
"No matter how busy they are, they will definitely prioritize this, La. This is about their child." Sarah said.
"It's up to you, Mom."
Triiiiing
Gabriela glanced at the notification that just came in on her cellphone, then Gabriela opened it and it turned out to be the number of the person who had told Gabriela that Aris had an accident.
There was written the name of the hospital along with the complete address to the hospital, Gabriela took a hasty step and unknowingly left her mother who was also matching her steps with Gabriela.
On the way to the hospital Gabriela couldn't stop sighing when she heard her mother's voice crying.
Couldn't her mother just shut up for a bit and not make Gabriela more dizzy?
At least give Gabriela time to focus on driving the car she is currently driving.
She didn't want anything to happen to her either, let Gabriela get to the hospital safely.
Actually the woman was also worried about her husband but Gabriela tried to hold back the sadness that was in her heart, somehow Gabriela suddenly felt sad to hear the news about her husband, usually she would not care about anything related to Aris.
Let it go, maybe Gabriela has started to realize how valuable an Aris is in her life.
In the past, Gabriela had indeed wasted it but now she will regret it for the rest of her life if Aris is gone forever
