Julio shot up off Etienne’s lap. “You will not do that. I will not be the cause of a break-up of our family. You did nothing wrong. It was me. I let my own insecurities make this into my issue rather than the loup garou issue that it is. Forgive me, Etienne, Adrien, Gilbert, Bianca. I was being foolish and hysterical. The thought of Etienne in the pit, even against a mosquito, frightens me. I would do anything to stop it and prevent him from being hurt.” Julio sat back down on the couch next to Etienne. The brown leather slid against the fabric of his new purple silk robe as he climbed back up on Etienne’s lap.

Etienne opened his arms and Julio crawled against his chest. His wolf murmured words of comfort.
