Father Jacob and Father Paulson came with the town's men and some other people. They looked so serious and angry about something. Priya said,

"Nat, do not speak a word or they might feel different about the way she talks."

Nat nodded in agreement. Sister Veronica stood in front of them. Father Paulson walked fast and reached there first. He whispered,

"Sister, the town's men and the others are angry because you brought the outcast into the festival."

Sister Veronica expected something like that. She waited for them to say something. As they reached Father Jacob stood aside between the town's men and sister Veronica. The town's men started speaking,

"Sister, with all respect we ask you why you bring the outcast into the town? This is the festival time, we are here to celebrate not fight. There are enough problems around here so don't bring more problems into our lives."
