Bab 15: 15 My Husband is a Genius at Adapting

SakamataMyWife: Where's the Shirasaki guy? I don't see him today.
Lamen: Who's that guy next to Sakamata?
Maniac: isn't that obvious? Sakamata lost interest in Saki-chan and changed a man for her channel's mascot.
RogerChief: Really? Is this Saki-chan guy isn't here anymore? Haiyah~ women Once they lost interest, they throw you out like an expired hotdog.
"What are you guys saying!? There's no way I would throw out Saki-chan! Look closely at this person!" Chloe panicked the moment when she started her stream.
I smiled mysteriously without saying anything and just waved at the camera.
"Ah, Chief Roger! I am a big fan of yours, thank you for coming to my wife's boring stream," I said upon spotting RogerChief's comments.
I wasn't lying because 30% of my cooking experience was taught by this person's cooking reaction video.
Rein: My wife? Are you guys married already? It's only been like a day since I saw you last time with Saki-chan, Sakamata.
Wanderer: No, look at it closely, you reincarnation maniac idiot. Doesn't he look similar? For example, the eyes, nose, and mouth.
It was at this moment when the comments were getting crowdy for the appearance of a popular influencer, this guy called [Rein] finally stepped into the conversation.
SakamataMyWife: Wait, fuck... He's so my type... I don't think so in a chance, but is he... Saki-chan? Did Saki-chan transform into Saki-sama!?
Orcasm: You were into that way...?
SakamataMyWife: Shut up! What is wrong with liking a handsome person as a female!?
Rein: !?
Wanderer: !?

Chloe: "!?"
"Saki here. Also, stop with that nickname. Anyway, many things happened and I decided to change my image, end of the topic here. Chloe, let's start training," while also surprised at the gender reveal of Chloe's viewer, I ended the conversation there.
"Ahh... That's right. We're doing the shooting training, right?" Chloe shook her head and finally got into it.
"Nah, we'll do that on different day. My shooting efficiency is running out. For now, teach me how to move/fight like an assassin," I said before explaining.
"The mechanic of proficiency is similar to workouts. Although it may be effective at first, your will be unable to catch up with the increasing challenge it should contain to improve at the same speed."
"So the more you train, the less your result will be and in order to compromise this, you have to rest, and who knows, maybe 'supercompensation' will carry your result up," I ended my explanation.
I thought I had to liven up the audience by 'educating' them.
Chloe nodded in understanding while raising her brows satisfied.
I thought at the moment, but 'probably in Sakamata's case, she trained beyond her body break.'
"Okay! Then it's my turn to teach you the most basic lesson of an assassin! Saki-chan, out of the five senses, which is the easiest source of perception to notice and the hardest to erase?"
I thought deeply at the question before answering, "sound."
In response to my answer, Chloe cutely puffed out as she said frustrated, "I'd prefer it if you answered wrongly."
'Answering rightly isn't always correct?' I became slightly depressed at my insensitivity.
"That's correct, although human eyes are reliable when it comes to perception, it carries far too much backlash! You can use darkness to disable vision, use light to disable vision, or even stab the eyeballs to permanently disable vision."
"And while the nose is certainly hard to disable, it's also unreliable to use as a detection method. For example, even if you carry a suspicious odor, no one wouldn't really notice it unless they get too close to you."
"Sense of taste and touch is out of the question because they require physical contact ."
"So that is left with a sense of sound. You can distract your sound with other huge sounds but that will only attract more people. You can stab the person's eardrums but it's far too deep that you may as well just kill the person by piercing its brain."
"Sounds are an assassin's biggest enemy and for your first lesson, Saki-chan, let's learn how to walk, kay?" Chloe happily swung her head rhythmically.
It seems like, she loved teaching me more than she expected as she was 'useful' and 'cool' right now, in contrast to her dame-ningen acts.
"From now on, you are not allowed to make footsteps bigger than 5 decibels."
Thus began my hell. I walked and walked. I tried focusing all my senses on my feet to not make a sound but I was scolded by my wife that 'not releasing' sound doesn't only come from controlling my feet well.
According to her, canceling the sound of my feet required precise control of my body and the proper power input toward my leg... I couldn't get the hang of it on the first day, though, no matter how much I tried to copy my wife.
For reference, the sound of someone's breath is said to be 10 decibels, and I was supposed to walk half as quietly as that sound. My wife is more amazing though, as she said could cancel all sound to 1 decibel.
Wanderer: Hm. Hm. I'm watching and trying it with the help of a volume detector but I'm starting to get the gist of it. Sakamata's lesson may be actually real.
Rein: Seriously? It's her, ya know? That girl who sucks at the game and can only act cute in front of the camera.
SakamataNoLongerMyWife: Who knows. A man can easily change a woman.
For some reason, the chat frustrated me a bit. No matter how much I tried, how hard I tried, the farther I get to the complete form and fail to grasp what I want to.
I failed to notice this when I was firing a gun, but, "dang, I have no talent."
I had no talent. I lacked so much time. I am far too old. My body is too weak, and most of all, I hated myself for complaining this early. I hated myself for being inferior to others.
Tired, I panted heavily as I lazily lay down on the floor.
"You can do it, Saki-chan! You can do it!" Chloe cheered me up but even that genuine support turned into annoyance to me as I felt I was being made fun of for being a worthless piece of shit.
"Sorry, but could you leave me alone?" I muttered while looking down.
'Don't look at me,' I thought as I powerlessly moved my feet and lazily got my body carried by the leg. At that moment I felt so weak that I even began to be suspicious if my heart is even beating.
Chloe nodded in contrast as she smiled warmly, "Shirasaki-kun was always the type to hide his effort, right?"
"Although you usually have no shame when it comes to the action you do for me, you're always weirdly prideful when it comes to your weakness when that part of you is what makes you a human and... (what I love about you)"
Chloe shyly turned her head back to look at me, only to widen her mouth because she find out that I wasn't there anymore.
Only god knows whether her shock came from that she was talking to no one, or that I moved out of the room without her awareness.
