Even though his progress was thanks to his talents and abilities, Sunkan City was still a haven where he could obtain God Stones without having to risk his life. Just look at the Silver-Winged Mouse couple, for example. To earn 1000 Rank One God Stones, they were risking their lives in this long journey.
