Although Kayla wished to solve this matter with her wits and simply bluff her way through it, she was not particularly afraid of a fight. After all, she had a few months to prepare.

Under the mysterious person's surprised gaze, the little human girl that was almost within reach suddenly disappeared. A feeling of unease quickly surged as their face twitched.

'Was that a teleportation technique?' Their mind raced. 'Who exactly made a move? Who used this technique? How can I not see through it? Did the strong master behind the scenes finally take action?'

"Humph, do you think that I'm stupid?" Kayla muttered under her breath as Mrs. O'Bannon also quickly disappeared with a bewildered expression, leaving only herself and this unknown person in the cozy hospital room. "If you had not tried to meddle in things that did not concern you, you may have lived a little longer, but now, heh-"
