Bab 97: Don’t Start What You Won’t Finish

Gemma could hear Miguel coming behind her as she went upstairs but she ignored him. When she entered her bedroom, she tried to shut the door but he held it open.

"Are you doing this on purpose to get on my nerves or you are just simply being ignorant of the dangers out there?" Miguel asked as he walked inside her bedroom. "Which is it? I kind of think that it's the former."

Gemma ignore him as she took off her shoes, and placed them beside her bed. She went to the bathroom to clean off her makeup and when she got back Miguel was still standing there, not making any move to leave.

"Not up to two weeks ago, we were attacked, Gemma, you have to be more security conscious, there are people out there who would want to hurt you. You can't go about acting like the world is a safe place, because it isn't, most especially the world where you live," Miguel said in a cool voice.
