Bab 38: Chapter 37: Stabbed
The woman suddenly misplaced her foot and ended up falling. Seeing this, Obito was surprised, as the situation would have ended the same if Obito hadn't stopped earlier. This time, Obito was truly alert and carefully observed the woman.
Obito began to think about who was watching him and who had become his enemy.
But all of that didn't matter. Right now, participating in the drama and playing along was Obito's way of finding out what the person who was targeting him would do.
Obito approached the woman, sensing Obito's presence, the woman turned her face towards Obito who was approaching.
"Are you okay?" Obito approached and asked the woman.
"I-I'm fine." The woman then tried to stand up.
"Ah!" But unfortunately, the woman fell again, but Obito had already caught her.
"Thank you..." The woman looked at Obito with a shy face.
Obito remained silent and nodded his head, then glanced at the woman's feet. Seeing that her feet didn't appear swollen or red, Obito smiled awkwardly.
But Obito didn't say anything and just waited to see what the woman would do.
"Can you... can you help me get to my house?" Hearing the woman's request, Obito was momentarily surprised but chose to nod his head.
Then Obito supported the woman's body as they walked towards her house. The woman's house was quite far from the Mercenary Union but still located in the West District. After a while, Obito finally arrived at the woman's house.
The house was simple and clean, with neatly arranged plants and flowers. This surprised Obito because the disguise was much better than he had thought.
"Thank you... thank you so much!" The woman shyly expressed her gratitude to Obito, her face even turned red. This surprised Obito as the woman's acting was quite good, but he no longer trusted her.
Obito's suspicion towards the woman had grown too strong, but he couldn't openly express it.
Obito then intended to leave, but the woman suddenly fell again, furrowing Obito's brow.
"..." Obito approached the woman, then carried her in a princess-like manner, which made the woman look very surprised. Obito then looked at her before speaking.
"The key?" Obito asked in a flat tone, which made the woman realize and give Obito the house key.
After opening the door, Obito quickly took the key before entering the house. Looking around, Obito walked towards the sofa and gently placed the woman on it.
"Thank you..." The woman thanked again softly.
"Is this how you act? You let a stranger into your house just like that? Aren't you worried that I might do something bad to you?" Obito asked in a flat tone.
"Eh?" The woman was surprised and looked confused.
"Enough with the acting. You may be good, but when I stopped, you stopped too. When you realized that I wasn't following the script where you would bump into me and fall, you chose a different way, pretending to fall and pretending to be injured." Obito spoke quickly before pausing to take a breath and continuing.
"Your foot isn't swollen or red. Even if you sprained it, there would be some changes in your ankle. You're not good enough, so stop with the annoying act." Obito immediately said everything.
"..." The woman fell silent and didn't say anything. She showed no signs of speaking, but suddenly she disappeared. No! The woman moved very quickly! Obito didn't even have time to react. When he tried to dodge, it was already too late. Next, the woman stabbed Obito in the stomach.
