In front of me stands a blue-eyed, blonde-haired, tall, young, beautiful woman. Her expression did not look good at all; it was none other than Gwen Stacy.
"What do you want from me?" She looked at me suspiciously while standing at the door of my apartment.
I admit it is indeed suspicious. I am not supposed to have her contact details, and I insisted on meeting her in my house and nowhere else; she probably came here anyways since she now has powers.
This is why I was confident that she would show up despite all the red flags and our rocky history. She naively believes that she could solve any problem using her strength.
"Don't just stand there; come inside." I smiled as I gestured for her to come inside.
"Are you afraid?" Although I was using a normal tone, the amusement could not be hidden from it.
"Afraid of you? Don't flatter yourself." She looked at me with disdain as she came inside as I closed the door and followed her.
"So, what important piece of news that could affect my life did you want to tell me?" She asked.
"Since you seem to be in a rush, let me show you."
"Show her sky."
"Who are you talking to?" She asked doubtfully with a frown.
"|Yes sir.|" A robotic female voice echoed throughout the room, startling Gwen.
Before she could ask about the situation, the screen of my smart TV went on, and in it was a slideshow of Spiderwoman pictures.
I could see her trying to hide her shock as she pretended to be calm and asked me. "You called me here just to show me pictures of Spider-woman?"
She pretended to look confused, but it would not fool me since I knew her very well, more than she even knows herself.
The reason she was shocked was because those pictures were taken in areas she purposely goes to avoid cameras.
Most of these areas are where she gears up or goes when switching to her civilian identity from the superheroine persona.
"Be patient and keep watching." I shook my head and reminded her.
As the slideshow continued, her pace became pale, and she couldn't keep her composure anymore. Her body was trembling.
This was because as the slideshow went on, there were shots that showed her entire face after taking off the mask while the rest of her costume was still on.
In another picture, she had also taken off her mask in advance and was sticking to a wall.
She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. I was curious about her response.
She looked at me weirdly and asked. "You called me all the way here to show me these photoshopped images of me as Spider-woman? While I admit that it does look a bit cool, it shouldn't be a reason for wasting my time."
Damn, she is such a good actor.
"I am curious; where did you find these? It looks so realistic, but whoever edited these still left some flaws here and there, not too noticeable though."
Gwen looked genuinely curious; what a good actor.
She probably thinks that I stumbled upon them and immediately called her.
How funny.
"What about these ones then?"
The screen went dark for a second before lighting up again, and this time, it was a clear video of her going through the window of her house and taking off his costume without closing the curtains, clearly showing her identity.
It would be foolish to keep on pretending that it was edited.
Her eyes went wide and her body started shaking. I kept silent and let her take a moment to process her situation.
She understood the consequences of what would happen if her true identity was known; her family would never be safe again.
"Where did you get those?" She asked weakly.
"Don't worry, I am the only one who knows your true identity; I am also the only one who has these videos and pictures."
The room suddenly became silent for a few seconds.
"I see, so you called me here out of curiosity after finding out the truth? And why are you so sure that you are the only one who found out about my true identity?"
"Take a seat and relax; we will get to that."
I said as I sat down on the sofa opposite to the one that she chose to sit on.
You see, when I was in my first year of high school, I was close to Gwen. I had approached her after awakening my memories because I knew that she was a popular character in the Marvel franchise and became close friends with her.
The problem was that, at that time, although I was a reincarnate, my memories were incomplete and I was not yet that mature; my memories of the previous life were up to high school; of course I was going to act like a high schooler. So I impulsively tried to have sex with her, and she refused.
At that time, I felt like some kind of main character and could not handle the rejection well, so I angrily bragged that she was an unattractive weirdo and that I only wanted to use her to break my virginity.
That was the moment that led to our estrangement; she was hurt at that time and hated me; she probably still does.
I wish I could have just remembered all of my previous life all at once.
But what's done is done; there is nothing I could do to change the past.
Oh well... Now is blackmailing time.
To be continued...
