[T/N: 🍑Do check out my new book— "Diary Of Service Club: Helping The Elf Princess" 🙇🏻 It has same trope as this.]
"Right, time to check those Pure Love Points!"
Hikari suddenly remembered something. Yesterday, after an exhausting evening of teaching two people, he hadn't had the chance to check the massive haul of Pure Love Points he'd earned.
"Taking down Takahashi only netted a few dozen points. Kinda stingy..."
"But then again, that guy didn't stand a chance this time. Even without me, Miss Yukino would've obliterated him herself."
"Still, I need to keep an eye on that ring of his. If he hadn't left the apartment in such a hurry yesterday, I would've taken him out on the spot."
Hikari shook his head slightly as he recalled the events of the previous day.
"Fortunately, both Natsuha and Miss Yukino now bear the Pure Love Mark. This dramatically amplifies the effectiveness of my items, so there's no need to panic."
"As long as Takahashi dares to make a move—or even begins scheming—I'll detect his location and take him out immediately."
"But forget about him for now. The real surprise was the 1,000 Pure Love Points I got from Miss Yukino's confession yesterday."
Hikari speculated that the generous reward was likely tied to Yukino's identity as a yuki-onna. For someone ordinary like Natsuha, a few hundred points would have been the max.
In any case, this was a major windfall.
Excited, Hikari opened the Pure Love System. He was about to distribute points and spin the prize wheel when he noticed something unusual.
[Ding~ Congratulations, Host! You've successfully freed two heroines from cuckoldry and amassed over 2,000 Pure Love Points. The system has undergone a minor upgrade]
[Ding~ Daily assignable stat points have doubled from 1 to 2]
[Ding~ Through your continuous promotion of Pure Love, the Pure Love Aura has been upgraded]
[New Passive Skill Acquired: Coin Burst]
[Coin Burst: When defeating cuckolders, they will randomly drop stat points. The host can collect these drops and allocate them freely]
"Huh? The system can upgrade?" Hikari's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Even if it's just a minor feature, doubling my daily stat points is no joke."
"That's a twofold increase in my base growth rate. Not bad at all."
"But I'll need to be careful with my Pure Love Points from now on. Exchanging 10 stat points daily costs 100 points. I'll need a steady supply."
"Looks like I'll have to tighten my belt—or better yet, hunt down more blonde cuckolders for those sweet, sweet points."
Wasting no time, Hikari exchanged 100 points for 10 stat points and allocated them evenly among Strength, Physique, Agility, Reflexes, and Focus—two points each.
The results were immediate.
Despite the lingering fatigue from yesterday's activities, Hikari now felt reinvigorated. His body brimmed with energy, as if he'd downed a dozen bottles of vitality elixir.
"Alright, now let's see what this Coin Burst skill is all about."
"Random stat drops from defeating enemies? That's kinda weird but super practical. More efficiency for my grind—nice."
Satisfied, he nodded to himself and moved on to the prize wheel. He spun it a few times, and notifications began flooding in.
[Ding~ Congratulations, Host! You've obtained: Kidney Treasure Nutritional Drink x9]
[Kidney Treasure Nutritional Drink: A post-battle beverage that restores stamina and alleviates fatigue]
[Ding~ Congratulations, Host! You've obtained: Master-Level Culinary Skills]
[Ding~ Congratulations, Host! You've obtained: Master-Level Painting Skills]
[Ding...
Hikari stopped after four spins. He had to conserve at least 500 points for daily exchanges and crucial items.
Unfortunately, his spins only yielded life-related skills like cooking and painting—no new items or combat skills.
The only noticeable change was the guaranteed consolation prize. Instead of Kidney Treasure Cigarettes, it was now Nutritional Drinks.
"Probably because smoking's bad for your health," Hikari mused. "I guess chugging energy drinks after a battle isn't a bad idea."
By the time he finished, his taxi had arrived at the school gates.
Since he was running late, the gates were already closed.
Hikari nonchalantly found a wall and vaulted over it.
Landing smoothly, he noticed a girl in a JK uniform nearby, staring at him in awe.
She covered her mouth in surprise, her large eyes wide with disbelief.
"That wall's so high, and you just jumped over it like it was nothing!" she stammered.
Her voice was soft, nervous, and a bit shaky, as if she rarely initiated conversations with strangers. She clutched the hem of her skirt, her fingers trembling slightly.
Hikari hadn't planned to acknowledge her, but seeing her reaction piqued his interest.
"Late to class too?" he asked casually.
The girl flinched, startled that he had replied. She quickly shook her head.
"N-No, I… I'm a transfer student. I just finished my paperwork, so I'm late."
Hikari gave a nonchalant "Oh," then turned and walked away.
Class was about to start, and he wasn't in the mood to linger.
Though he had to admit, the girl was pretty. With her long black hair and youthful innocence, she had a charm that was rare these days. In any other situation, she'd probably have boys lining up to confess their love.
But Hikari was immune to mere beauty. Growing up surrounded by the breathtaking Ms. Mira, Tsubakihara Twins and spending last night with Yukino and Natsuha, his standards were practically otherworldly.
Still, he noted that her physique was unremarkable—nothing like the jaw-dropping proportions of Yukino.
Without sparing her another glance, he headed for class.
Behind him, the girl fiddled with a strand of her long black hair, her lips trembling as she whispered, "Maybe this look doesn't suit me… Should I go back to glasses and braids? Would that be better?"
She hesitated, then added shyly, "Also… that guy… he's so handsome..."
Back in the classroom, Hikari slid into his seat just as the bell for the second period rang.
No one asked about his absence during the first period. Thankfully, the school's discipline wasn't as strict as his previous life's high school.
It made sense. If the school could handle such minor issues, the rampant cuckolders wouldn't be running around unchecked.
As he glanced up, his stunning homeroom teacher, Kyouko Tsukishima, walked into the classroom.
Today, however, she didn't immediately start lecturing. Instead, she clapped her hands and motioned for someone outside the door to enter.
"This is our new transfer student," she announced. "Please introduce yourself."
The classroom buzzed with chatter as the transfer student walked in.
"It's her! The JK girl from earlier," Hikari thought.
The girl introduced herself confidently as Yoshida Saki, radiating an entirely different energy from the shy girl at the wall.
As their gazes met, Hikari's eyes narrowed.
Yoshida Saki… That name sounded familiar.
Realization struck like lightning.
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath. "Another Yellow-Haired Cuckolder Bait just dropped into my lap."
Good work, transfer student—Yoshida Saki.
As if sensing the scorching gaze directed at her, Yoshida Saki turned her head.
Her eyes met Hikari's for a fleeting moment.
Upon noticing his piercing stare, Yoshida Saki's face flushed a delicate pink. She quickly averted her eyes, a mix of shyness and nervousness etched on her features.
There was no way she'd dare to maintain eye contact with such a strikingly handsome guy.
This kind of scenario—getting noticed by a good-looking guy right after transferring schools—felt straight out of a shoujo manga. But Yoshida Saki didn't let herself indulge in those silly thoughts. Otherwise, she'd feel like the punchline of a bad joke.
Hikari, on the other hand, shifted his gaze after a moment. He wasn't about to continue staring and risk scaring the girl.
Still, life sure worked in strange ways.
After scanning the classroom, their homeroom teacher, Tsukishima Kyouko, clapped her hands to gather everyone's attention. She pointed to the seat directly in front of Hikari.
"Yoshida Saki, you'll sit there, in front of Hikari."
The announcement drew murmurs from the class.
Before Yoshida Saki could respond, someone immediately raised an objection.
Ruri shot up from her seat, her pigtails bouncing with indignation. "Eh? Tsukishima-sensei, can I switch seats with her? My spot is surrounded by super-friendly classmates. It's way better for helping a transfer student settle in, don't you think?"
