"Leave! You are fired! I don't want to see your face again in this building!" I fired the worker while on a bad temper. They never learned. Simpleng gawain na nga lang hindi pa magawa ng tama!
"Ma'am, please. Give me a chance. It was just a minor mistake." He asked another chance. He looked pitiful but his mistake may remove us a thousand deals. I cannot risk my empire in a minor mistake.
I threw him a look, "That minor or major, a mistake is a mistake. Leave or I'll let the guards throw you out." I firmly demanded.
"Ma'am, please I need this job. Without this I cannot feed my family." He replied with a broken voice, almost crying. Sorry, I cannot pity. Tapos na ako sa pagiging mabait.
Nung huli beses akong naging mabuti, nawala lahat sa akin. Parang nasunog ang buong buhay ko at lahat ng pinaghirapan ko ay naging abo.
"You knew you needed this job, but you didn't do your best. I'm sorry. Find another company to accept you reason." I rolled my eyes and I pushed my intercom. I am more than what they think of me.
I heard my worker begged but I didn't listen, instead called for my assistant. "David! Fetch this person inside my office. You know what to do." I told him, like I have been doing it for years.
I looked at him one last time, "Give me one good reason to let you stay." I said. I know, that I am rude, merciless, I wanted everything in a perfect line. But I still have a heart.
I heard him sobbing, "Ma-Ma'am, kailangan ko po ka-kasi yu-yung,"
"Umayos ka ng pagsasalita! Ayoko ng nauutal. You wanted this right?" I asked him
He nodded.
"Then firmly stand for it and fight for it." I said seriously, "Continue."
"Kailangan ko po kasi to ma'am kasi yung tatay ko po coma po ngayon. Wala na po akong pagkukuhanan ng trabaho." He still sobbed but atleast he talked straightly.
I saw David entered the room, I nodded at him.
"Transfer him. In the other company. Give his dad a medical insurance." I remarked and turned my swivel chair.
"Po?!" I heard my worker in shocked.
"I don't repeat my words, David you know what to do." I said and smirked at I saw the beauty of my view. Just what I dreamed.
"Yes, to be processed Ms. Sienna." David replied and with the worker they walked out peaceful.
I heavily breathed-out. I know, I was really bad; but I still have the heart. Little employees are scared of me, they even called me names, that they think I don't know. 'Ice Queen' 'Rude President' 'Bossy Lady'
But, I don't care.
This was the empire I have build, after my kingdom fell 2 years ago. Alexandris Empire was a wall never have been weaved by any competitors since I regained 'me'
I looked at my digital watch, '4:00'. It's time to go home. It was a tiring day, I closed 5 deals today... Atleast a good-job.
I pressed my intercome, "David..."
"Yes, Ma'am." He replied from the other line.
I smiled, "It's friday, no over time today. Spend time with you family, little guy." I replied.
"Noted, Ma'am Sienna." I heard happiness in his voice.
David have been a loyal worker of mine. He almost became my little brother. He started part time as my secretary, when he was just studying. Then I shouldered everything, I made him finish his college with no worries. Hell their little humble family.
Things like this make my heart warm. I may have lost everything 2 years ago, I may have nothing to start 2 years ago, but the process... made me gain more than everything.
"I have missed my old self, but seeing you 'my empire' just makes the new me worth it." I whispered and got my coat out of my swivel chair.
I fetched my bag with a sign of "YSL" and put on my high heels on, I was about to go out when David entered the room.
"Ma'am, I know I promised you to never talked about anything from 2 years ago..." He beats around the bush, he looked tense I wonder why?
I threw a confused look, "Why?"
"But, there's really this urgent thing that came up into the mail today."
He handed me a small golden rectangular envelope with a signature, more like a monogram at the back.
"What is this?" I asked him,
He sighed, "An Invitation, he's getting married."
I opened the envelop, and its true. I smiled bitterly, my man two years ago, is getting married. To the same girl, tricky how destiny works.
I read the invitation, 'Jared Arthur Dela Vega and Clarissa Sansa Mullè Nuptials' they will be married two months from now. I really feel nothing at all. I mean, what should I feel?
I just feel civil at all. I have learned the art of 'Professionalism' due to my work.
David grabbed the enveloped from my hands, "Wag ka na nga pumunta, kung masasaktan ka lang Ate Sienna; wag na natin ituloy." He said.
I laughed, "Me? No, David. I was over him. Tapos na ako sa kanya." I let words with empty feelings run out of my mouth.
"So pupunta ka?"
"If that's what it takes to show everyone, that I have already nothing to do with Arthur. Then I will." I remarked.
"Ate..."
"Nako, bunso. Kaya ko to." I hugged him.
"After all, after losing everything, I would have lose nothing this time." I smiled and assured him.
He laughed and smiled at me, "Yeah right, after all you are the President of the Alexandris Empire. After all, there is a lot to take to be Ms. Sienna Vixxen De Alexandris" David remarked.
I just smiled and waved my goodbye, "Surely you are right about that little one! It takes a lot to be me." I waved and walked out of my dear office.
Two years have made me, write myself in the history all over the world. It took me two years. It took the queen two long years to rose up from ashes. Its time to show them, the new 'me'.
