A week later, a modest tea gathering took place in the courtyard of the Yang Household, where noble ladies gathered to enjoy an afternoon of tea and conversation. Chang Ah, Yang Luoyang's wife, had extended invitations to several distinguished wives of Yang Luoyang's colleagues from the royal court. Additionally, she had also welcomed the wives of affluent and well-respected aristocratic merchants who held a prominent reputation in the capital. 

Chang Ah graciously hosted the ladies, serving them high-quality tea and an assortment of delectable snacks.

With everyone gathered, the ladies engaged in lively conversations, discussing their husbands' accomplishments, proudly showcasing their new jewelry acquisitions, and sharing the latest gossip.
