Bab 210: A ladder?

"Hah! We finally arrived on time," exclaimed Yang Ning, clutching her stomach and gasping for breath. She had sprinted to the royal residence, disregarding her noble image, in order to evade the night curfew patrol guards.

The distance she covered seemed inadequate to her. In her previous life, she had run marathons and covered miles as a mere warm-up exercise. This amount of running was a walk in the park for her.

However, things had changed in her current state. Yang Ning's body wasn't accustomed to such strenuous activity, leaving her breathless and causing her face to turn beet red. She perspired profusely, feeling intense stomach cramps as a result of the exertion.

Just like Yang Ning, Xiaowei too experienced excruciating pain and breathlessness. Compelled by Yang Ning's actions, she found herself running like a madwoman through the streets to keep up with her.
