Xia Wan'an had been working until three in the morning. The next day she was awoken from a deep sleep by her phone ringing.

She let the phone ring as she lay in her sleepy state until five minutes later, when the caller showed no signs of giving up, she had no choice but to reach out and fumble for her phone by her pillow. Without opening her eyes, she slid the screen and picked up the call.

"Director Xia..." The voice on the phone was a very soothing male voice.

Xia Wan'an didn't even bother thinking about who it was, so she just grunted in acknowledgment and continued dreaming.

The man on the other end of the line had been talking for a while, but when Xia Wan'an didn't respond, he raised his voice and called her name several times: "Director Xia? Director Xia?"

Xia Wan'an was startled awake, she gasped softly and finally realized she was on the phone, she finally responded with great pain: "What's up?"
