Bab 432: Attempting Resilience in the Face of Heartbreak

It had been over a month since Henry arrived in Tenetium and called the Duke's Tower his home. Yet each time he walked into his bedroom, he was unable to get used to the opulence that waited for him. It felt like too big of a space for him to live in all on his own. 

Such a big space felt suffocating at the same time.

He was given space to fill with family and the thought of having so many empty rooms was eating him alive. Is that how the commander felt for all those years before he and Henry's mother reconnected? It wasn't something Henry could have ever prepared for. 

The knight shut the door to his bedroom and walked to the opposite end of the room where Blade was patiently waiting at the window.
