As for how his clone died, he didn't know.

At that time, the Level One undead dog had crushed his clone's head from behind, so King assumed that Ray had an accomplice.

So he casually allocated four awakeners—Melissa and the three brothers—with some ordinary people to go together and kill such a small character.
