Bab 159: The Chain Effect

"Your highness," Emma fell on her knees. A muffled sob escaped her lips. "You are finally here." 

Meredith, who was still feeling humiliated, felt a surge of anger when she noticed her disgusting actions.

She pushed the woman away with a frown. Emma fell on the ground. Her eyes were welling up but she did not dare to cry. 

"Your highness."

"I have never thought that you will perform so badly. Father will be disappointed and so will Luke. you know how he would react when he knew that you failed. Right?" Emma shuddered. Her eyes welled up but fear was greater than pain.

"Yes! That was the only reason that she did not inform Luke. If Luke came to know that she was poisoned by Ana and Ana knew her truth, he would not think twice before getting rid of her.
