Bab 315: A Brave Woman

"Ha! Do you think it is that easy?" she felt incredulous. Was he even listening to her? Her pain and her hatred. Would it just go away like that? "Do you think you can erase the wounds from my soul just because you smile at me now?"

He paused and stared hard at her as if his gaze was piercing her soul. Even when she tried to move away, he held in place and kept staring at her. 

"Let me go!" She struggled and tried to jerk his hands away but he did not let go of her. He held her hands and pinned them on the wall. His gaze was hot and fiery but there was no anger in them.

"I know that wounds can be healed, Anastasia. They leave a mark, yes! But they can be healed and then they do not hurt unless you scratch them and try to hurt yourself." though his voice was soft there was steel in them as if he was stating a fact and he would not take no for an answer.

A deep breath left his lips when she looked away.
