Bab 215: An assassination attempt

"Are you saying the dragon's as smart as a 6-year-old child?" Victarine asked. 

"Why do you think I covered his ears first?" Savine sighed. 

"Even if the dragon's as impressive as you say, do you honestly except me to believe it's smart enough to understand human speech in only five days?"

"If I really wanted to," Savine sighed, "I could've made it speak the moment it was born. It's really not that hard for me to make a dragon with a language already learned."

It sounded like mindless bragging. All of it. But the problem was, you could never tell when it was Savine.

"In fact, that was the reason why I need you to name it so early. Since you speak so harshly of him every time you see him, he's really feeling dejected. The only reason it hadn't went over the edge is because it can feel your warmth towards it. That's also the reason I've called you here now."
