Bab 13: CHAPTER 13
New news spread among Centraxus' internal circles, most of whom already knew Lia's real identity. One of them reported to her about an issue.
"Your Majesty, Prince Aerus has fallen ill," said someone, Uttry, who was still alive and well despite her very old age. Her hair seemed to change color as the light shone on it.
Lia, who was busy taking care of some matters at Centraxus, finally rose from her throne. Her hand subconsciously gripped the wand containing the Latherin stone. "What are you saying? Are you not kidding? Are you sure about this news?" The turmoil in her eyes grew even more so after seeing Uttry nod.
This was the worst news she had had in the past half-year, the last time her husband had been to Centraxus for a party she was holding.
Uttry immediately wiped the empty air in front of her, which was very clear and healthy. Shortly after that, a picture of Hexodar's palace appeared, then sank into the room of Prince Aerus. Centraxus' spy technology was so advanced that no one in Hexodar knew that they were being watched all along.
"This is the state of the prince, Your Majesty," Uttry reported, magnifying the reflection in front of her face, revealing Prince Aerus' pale and frail face. "He hasn't eaten for the past few months. It made his body weaker and thinner."
"Do you know the cause?" Lia probed, clenching her fists tighter than before. Her meeting with her husband did not go smoothly. It had hurt her heart, not to mention she had not managed to meet him in person and hug his son. Now she had to accept the fact that her husband was sick.
"I'm looking for more detailed information, Your Majesty. But what is certain is that he began to experience a very drastic lifestyle after returning home from a banquet at Centraxus. I think that after seeing your face Prince Aerus's mind became chaotic."
A stand appeared from underground, protruding to accept Lia's weight. The smoke billowing around gathered to create a cushion on the seat so that it made her feel like she was sitting on a very soft pillow.
Her gaze was blank and her breath had been held back due to frustration. "I wasn't careful enough and I got too emotional. If only I had confessed from the start that I was Lia." Then she shook her head hastily. "No! With a face this bad and after I left him without explanation and news, I didn't have the guts to meet him at all. I am a useless wife. I also abandoned my son who needed internal energy from me."
Lia has been through many things so far. At first, it was hard especially when she thought that her parents still didn't want to admit her as a child even though she had to live again in the end. But luckily everything she can go through more easily even though it's not completely.
Now she just wants to take her old life back. She wanted to be with her husband as well as her son. She wants to live happily with them.
'But what about when I can't get out of Centraxus because my energy isn't fully formed yet?' thought Lia.
In her daydream, suddenly an echo filled Lia's ears. Its appearance comes from the reflection image created by Uttry. Red light like blood flickered, making the whole image feel like it had red ink to display.
Lia widened her eyes and turned to Uttry nervously. "What is it?" she asked impatiently, trying to take a closer look at the projection. However, due to the constraint of the core energy in her body, her eyes cannot function perfectly in some special situations such as this time.
Finally, she had to be patient and wait for Uttry's explanation.
The Unirex spies looked up after a gasp. Her lips were as tense as her back. With a single breath, she reported to Lia, "Prince Aerus is dying, Your Majesty!"
