Arthur returned to Red Star City as soon as he passed through the portal. Unfortunately his conditions were not the best.
Observing his body carefully, it was quite a miracle how he was still alive.
Excessive blood loss, impaired organs, beast infections in multiple areas of the body, missing muscle tissue, destroyed nerves.
With all these symptoms, Arthur must have passed away a long time ago inside the dungeon.
"I-I'm sorry ... Mom ... Dad ... no ... I'll be able to v-see you ... again ... again ..."
Arthur whispered weakly as if each word cost a lot of effort. Even in his last moments he missed the affection of his dear parents.
Arthur's consciousness that had allowed him to return to Earth to perish in his hometown was fading with the passing of seconds.
There was no one around him right now who could help him, as no one would be near a dangerous portal at this time of day.
In his last moments before he died, Arthur briefly heard a mysterious voice in his head trying to tell him something.
[…]
With awareness of him scattered everywhere, Arthur couldn't quite hear this strange voice.
"W-What… are you… trying… to… say?"
With a slight effort, the inaudible voice in his mind grew clearer. Until he managed to hear her clearly.
[Do you wish to enter the dungeon?]
"Dungeon? I'm tired of dungeons, I just want this to end forever and return to a quiet life with my parents ... "
[Do you wish to enter the dungeon?]
The voice in his head repeated his question seeking a direct answer from Arthur.
Am I hallucinating from the blood loss? Arthur thought wearily. Even simple thoughts consumed a lot of his energy.
"Whatever, just let me rest ..."
[Command executed successfully.]
[Sealed soul.]

After indirectly agreeing, Arthur relaxed his body in hopes that the annoying voice in his head would stop speaking.
But contrary to his thoughts, a multitude of messages with the same voice from before invaded his mind.

After a couple of seconds of these messages being heard in his head, Arthur began to feel a surge of warm energy suddenly emerge in his chest.
"What is this? It's like heat, but for a strange reason it doesn't hurt. On the contrary ... it's warm. " Arthur said.

The warm energy in his chest slowly spread through every part of his body, nurturing every one of his cells.
"That?! My wounds are healing! "
Arthur felt his energy recover with surprising speed. The fatigue from his body was gone in seconds.

The most surprising of all these events, were the changes that were occurring in his body as well as the energy recovered from him.
Both his past and painful wounds and those recently inflicted by the red monkey beasts were healing with a superhuman speed that was possible to see with the naked eye.
The extensive wound on his chest closed with each passing second. The tissues were connected to each other to shape a new skin.
After a few seconds, his wound was completely healed. Not even a scar was left!
The missing parts of his body were rapidly regenerating. The vivid color of his skin that had disappeared from the loss of blood had returned.

"A healer cannot even perform such a miracle! What is happening to me ?! " Arthur thought in total surprise as he examined his body.
Meanwhile, the strange messages in his head that were heard throughout the healing process finally ceased with one last message.

[Successfully sent to the dungeon. Good luck on your journey!]
Hearing this last message in his head, Arthur felt a strange sense of distortion around him that caused him to close his eyes briefly.
The young gatekeeper on the outskirts of the F rank dungeon, mysteriously disappeared as soon as he exited the dungeon.
...
When the strange sensation disappeared and Arthur was able to open his eyes again, he realized that his surroundings had completely changed.
He was no longer in the Red Star City in which he had spent his entire life. No, he now he was standing in a totally unknown place.
Observing his surroundings, Arthur saw that he was in a small dark cavern which was dimly lit by magical stones buried in the walls of it.
He was in what appeared to be a small room in which there was only one way to go. Said path that Arthur could not see the end.
Scattered on the floors of this cavern, Arthur saw corpses of various sizes and shapes.
The chilling sensation that this cave gave him was all too familiar to Arthur, as there was not a day that he did not feel it during the last two years of his life.
"A dungeon ?! How could he have entered a dungeon without first entering through a portal ?! "
Arthur was in the presence of something that was outside of all dungeon knowledge that hunters had gathered over the years.
With utter confusion in his mind, Arthur heard the voice from earlier in his head.
[Dungeon floor 1.]
[Welcome Gift: Ancient Sword]
"Welcome gift? What's going on? Who are you? Why are you in my head? "
In a better state than before, Arthur was finally able to take his time to process everything that happened in such a short time.
Many questions appeared in his mind, but none could be answered when he heard a thud next to him.
Looking at the origin of this sound, he could see a short sword from yesteryear lying on the ground a few meters from him.
"When did that sword come?" Arthur thought in confusion as he backed away from the mysterious weapon.
That's when he heard angry growls coming from the only path that was available in the stone room.
