Bab 34: First Plague

The silver beams of the moon streamed through the expansive windows of the Lightweaver estate, casting a luminous glow on the plush carpets. The world beyond was an image of serenity, its silence occasionally broken by the distant hoot of a night owl or the gentle rustle of leaves dancing in the breeze.

But inside, peace was hard to come by. Restlessness gripped me; my heart thudded with a blend of exhilaration and anxiety. The looming reality of joining the King's Academy tomorrow weighed on me. The sheets, which typically comforted me into dreamland, felt confining tonight.

Visions of my turbulent past tormented me. While most my age reminisced about playful days in school, laughter echoing through hallways, lessons learned, and friendships forged, I was haunted by memories of war and the merciless dance of survival.
