"Hahh… haa… haah." She panted heavily, her breaths echoing in the cold, damp cave. It had been over a week since the incident with Amael, yet she remained here, unable to leave.

"A little more," a voice hissed nearby. She turned, her gaze locking onto the serpentine creature that shared an uncanny resemblance to a dragon—at least in its facial features. This creature was the reason she was still here.

She could still recall the day with haunting clarity—eight days ago, when she had stumbled upon Amael's lifeless body. The agony had nearly consumed her, a pain so raw that she had even attempted to end her own miserable existence. But just as she teetered on the edge, a voice reached, ancient and enigmatic.

"He is not dead… at least not yet," it had said.

Those words had shattered her despair, forcing her to focus on the impossible reality before her. The ground beneath them—it wasn't a cavern floor but the body of a colossal, draconic creature.
