Bab 35: A Noble's Defiance

Leo decided to retire early for the night, knowing the next day would be a significant step in his journey. The bed was far more comfortable than anything he had slept on in years, but his instincts kept him on edge. Despite the luxury, he remained alert as always, drifting into a light sleep.

When he woke the next morning, the first thing he noticed was the absence of Tristen, the student he was supposed to share the room with. Instead, at the lower part of the room, he spotted Tristen's maid still fast asleep on a smaller bed tucked in the corner. The quiet rise and fall of her chest indicated she had likely been exhausted from her duties.
