Bab 17: Keele the Lich
The room had 6 statues of 4 different people, two people had two statues each. The room was full of skeletons wielding a green substance with magic.
Grimskull: Tired yet, Heroes? Too bad! If you want to keep going, you will need to slay 10 of my Ectomancers!
When he finished to talk, the 10 Ectomancers threw their ectoplasma at Alex and Chris, neither of them wanted to know what would happen if they touch it, so they just dodged and went towards them.
Chris was a bit used to multiple enemies so she was able to take them out easier than before, while Alex easily took care of 6 of them before Chris finished the rest.
Grimskull: I will need to make that room much, MUCH harder.
After he finished to talk, Alex was called out.
Chris: Hey Alex! There is another mechanism!
Alex turned around and saw Chris touching the second statue from the gate they came from, after she touched it, a circle appeared on the floor around the statue, before that section fell down and stairs came out.
Alex was curious so he followed Chris in the stairs, and when they got out from the stairs, they found themselves on a bridge where they couldn't see the end, a stone signboard was at their side and Alex read it aloud.
Alex: The endless bridge to nowhere… Oh! That place!
Chris: What place?
Alex: Nothing important, there was an achievement that you could get by passing there for 100 times, but you couldn't understand because the game system and this are completely different. Let's go back.
Chris nodded and the two of them turned back to the previous room, before going to the next one.
However, the room was empty, except for the statues.
Grimskull: Slay my creatures to find the Stone Key. This is going to be a rocky battle… Are you hard-headed enough to survive?
Alex didn't remembered much about the actual dungeon since the only time he was here was to try to kill Binky, he already solved the dungeon years ago, but Chris helped him anyway.
Chris: Alex, the first and the fifth statues are monsters
Alex looked at them, and now they started to move towards him, Alex summoned two Overfiend Blades of Nulgath and sent them at a really high-speed towards the statues, destroying them in a single strike.
Alex and Chris went towards them and searched between the fragments of stones for the Stone Key.
Chris: Found it!
Alex raised his head and saw Chris holding a key made of stone.
Grimskull: Hmph, I should have hid that better. Maybe I shouldn't have called it a Stone Key…
Alex and Chris ignored Grimskull and the former suggested.
Alex: Alright… Hey Chris, let's rest a bit.
Chris: What? Are you already tired?
Even if she said it with a teasing voice, Alex answered seriously.
Alex: Yes, I was the one to kill the strong monsters.
Chris: Oh… Right… Alright, I'll rest with you here, my feet are hurting me a bit.
Alex nodded and both of them sat besides each other.
Alex: So… You don't hate me anymore?
Chris: ...Sorry for everything I did… It's just that I hate demons and undeads… They would kill my followers and I get angry then.
Alex was a bit surprised from it before he head patted Chris and ruffled her hair, before pushing her head on his chest, as if he was hugging her.
Alex: Don't worry girlie, I forgive you. Still, you were a bitch before…
Chris: ...Yeah… Sorry…
Slowly, Chris felt tired and closed her eyes, her snore warned Alex about her starting to sleep, and smiled. However he just relaxed with an eye opened, seeing if there will be some monster.

Back to the other world, Aqua reached the end of the Dungeon alone, which was pretty impressive, she was called in a room where a simple bed, a cabinet, a table and a chair were there.
A person was sitting on the chair beside the bed and placed an oil lamp on the table.
?: Good morning, this is the first time we met. Though, I don't know what time it is, so should I say "Good evening" instead?
The person was a skeleton covered in dried skin, with a long robe draped around him.
?: I'm Keele, creator of this dungeon. I kidnapped the daughter of a noble. That's right, I'm an evil mage.
A long time ago, there was an archwizard named Keele who fell in love with a daughter of a noble clan during a stroll through the streets.
Keele, who knew this love wouldn't bear fruit, devoted himself in his magic training and research. As the years went by, he eventually became the strongest archwizard in the nation.
He didn't hold back in bringing happiness to the country through his use of spells, and was praised by all. And so, the mage was invited into the castle, to a banquet that was held in his honor.
The king said to the mage that he wanted to reward him, and was willing to fulfil one wish of the mage, with no restrictions. The mage said he had a wish that would never be fulfilled. And that was the happiness of the one he loved, who had suffered so much.
Keele: After making this wish, I kidnapped that lady. And so, I have a request for you.
Aqua: Request?
Keele: Could you send me to the other world? You should have the power to do so.
Aqua: First of all, I want to know what you did to my companions!
Keele: Companions? What do you mean?
Aqua: The vanished on a teleportation circle!
Keele froze and panicked.
Keele: Oh no, nononono! I thought I already removed them all!
Aqua: Well, one took Alex and Chris away! So, where are they?
Keele: I… I don't know… I used the divine artefact that a great man gave to me, it would be able to create magic circles that could take you everywhere. That man could use it with just a thought, but I need to draw the circles myself.
He took a pen from his robe and said to Aqua.
Keele: This is the item in question.
Aqua nodded and asked.
Aqua: Can you take them back?
Keele: Yes, I can, if I reach the place where they were teleported, I could pinpoint their position and then draw another circle to teleport them back. I think I know where was the magic circle, follow me...
Aqua nodded and followed Keele towards where Alex and Chris disappeared.
After an half hour of walk, they reached the place, Keele laid an hand on the ground, where a magic circle was hidden and deactivated.
Keele: Hmm… I will try now, please protect me from monsters until then.
Aqua nodded and watched him work. Keele closed his rotten eyes and used his magic senses and divine item to find Alex and Chris.

Keele: Strange...
He stood up, attracting Aqua's attention.
Keele: There is something at the other side interfering with my magic sight.
Aqua: Can you let me search for them?
Keele shrugged and passed her the divine item, Aqua picked it and did the same gestures Keele did.
Aqua: Hmph, my divine eyes will surely see them…
Soon, she was able to see Alex and Chris in a room with 4 statues, both of them were sleeping together, she looked around the place, and found many undeads in different rooms, and some strange Angler monsters holding dolls on their antennas.
There were two strange presences though, one of them was a really strong lich on a room far away from them, watching Alex and Chris from a mirror. Suddenly, the lich turned around and looked towards Aqua directly on her eyes, surprising her.
Grimskull: Hehe, no spoilers. You will pick them up at the end, IF they are still alive.
He snapped his fingers, and suddenly Aqua could see only statics, she blinked and found herself back at the place where the magic circle was.
Keele: Found anything?
Aqua: Yeah, the master of the place blocked my senses though, but the two of them were safe and alive, they seemed to be in a dungeon. He said something about waiting that they reached the end.
Keele: I see… I understand, then we will wait. I feel guilty so I will wait with you for them instead of being purified already.
Aqua. You better be! If they will die then I will send you to hell with my fists!
Keele: *Gulp*
