Bab 56: Chapter 55 : Raid
Under the tent, in the basement, Uchiha Natsu lay on the bed when he suddenly opened his eyes, sitting up abruptly. His gaze focused in the direction of the center of the station, detecting significant chakra fluctuations in the distance.
Concerned, Uchiha Natsu got up, dispelling the shadow clone in the tent. Just as he intended to use Earth Release to escape underground, a person rushed in with a sense of urgency.
"Senior, it's not good!" Tiehuo, the messenger, exclaimed.
Pausing his actions, Uchiha Natsu looked outside the tent. Tiehuo quickly relayed the distressing news.
"Senior Natsu, the coalition forces of Cloud and Stone have sneaked in, and now there is a fight in the center of the garrison!"
"Sneak attack?" Uchiha Natsu furrowed his brow. The Uchiha residents outside the tent began to panic. Tiehuo urged, "Senior, the captain is already summoning the clansmen; let's go there quickly!"
Uchiha Natsu nodded with a serious expression and left the tent with Tiehuo. Upon reaching the center of Uchiha's temporary residence, he observed that many Uchiha had already gathered.
Uchiha Fugaku, standing at the front with crossed arms, acknowledged Uchiha Natsu's arrival with a nod. The leader, Fugaku, turned his head to address the assembled clan members.
"Just now, Cloud and Stone have launched a general attack on our Konoha," Fugaku declared. "I don't know why, but they figured out the pattern of the patrol team and killed the guards. Now, the center of the garrison has fallen into a bitter battle."
"This is a crucial battle concerning Konoha's survival. No matter how Konoha's senior management treated us before, at this time, I hope everyone can temporarily put aside their grievances."
After Fugaku's speech, the Uchiha members looked stern, listening attentively. The initial clamor and pride had subsided, replaced by a collective calmness. Fugaku continued, "According to the previous formation, set off with me and follow my command when you arrive."
"Yes!" The clansmen responded in unison, and Fugaku led them toward the center of the station. Uchiha Natsu remained at the end, watching the orderly procession of his clansmen, his departure delayed.
Uchiha Natsu's actions were observed by the Uchiha members, but none questioned him. The trust they had in him had been earned on the battlefield, where he consistently took the lead against formidable foes.
As the Uchiha clan gradually moved away, Uchiha Natsu remained in the open space. He made seals with both hands, activating Earth Release to disappear into the ground.
"Wood release, Wood clone!" Uchiha Natsu exclaimed as he emerged from the ground. Wooden branches burst from his skin, forming a wooden clone with half of the main body's chakra. The Clone resembled the "Akira Senju"
Nodding to his main body, the wooden clone, now wearing a mask and armor, set off toward the center of the station using Earth Release. Uchiha Natsu, still at the surface, murmured, "It still doesn't seem to work."
His attempt to split the chakra between a wooden clone and a shadow clone did not yield the desired results. Reflecting on the situation, Uchiha Natsu acknowledged that the wood clone's chakra could not exceed one-third of the main body's total chakra.
"Wood Clone will have to be more cautious, reserving one-third of the chakra for the Wood Dragon Jutsu, not exceeding three uses," Uchiha Natsu noted. Despite improved control over Wood release, chakra consumption remained high. The wood clone could only be used three times before being exhausted.
Using Earth Release, Uchiha Natsu returned underground. Above ground, he created a shadow clone with a shout, pulling back some chakra from the wooden clone. The main body, now accompanied by a shadow clone, chased after the Uchiha clan.
The Uchiha members, led by Fugaku, proceeded toward the battlefield. Fugaku, relieved to see Uchiha Natsu joining them, acknowledged his leadership capabilities.
On the battlefield, Uchiha Natsu's shadow clone caught up with the Uchiha clan. Uchiha Natsu's main body, using Earth Release, continued to approach the battlefield discreetly.
Uchiha Natsu's shadow clone performed the Instant Body Technique, quickly reaching the Uchiha clan's team. Fugaku sighed in relief upon seeing Uchiha Natsu catching up.
Before, Uchiha Natsu had successfully led the clansmen back from the battlefield, minimizing casualties. Fugaku believed that Uchiha Natsu's leadership would be crucial in the upcoming battle against the powerful Raikage and Tsuchikage.
As they faced the imminent threat, Fugaku hoped that, despite past grievances, the Uchiha clan could unite for Konoha's survival.
