Bab 31: Jackson’s Arrest, Pegasus Hotel
"We have a warrant of arrest here! Please step out of your property, sir! If you don't come out within five minutes, we will have to use force!" The police officer raised the warrant of arrest.
Jackson was scared witless when he heard this. His body was shaking from nervousness and he couldn't even move his legs. 'How did this happen? Did the police find out that I was laundering the company's money? No! That shouldn't be possible!'
"Honey, why are the police outside? What did you do?" The blonde-haired mistress also started panicking.
"Jackson, don't make us wait here! Please step out of your property!" The police were starting to get annoyed by Jackson's lack of response. The captain of the officers gave a signal to his subordinates.
Jackson collapsed to the floor with a blank look on his face. He knew that it was over. If the police found evidence that he was laundering money, it was certain that he would be in jail for a long time! "No! No! T-This isn't happening!" He held his head with both hands, looking as if he had lost all hope.
As for his mistress, she hurriedly went down the house and opened the gate. She didn't dare to stay with Jackson anymore for fear that she would be implicated in his crimes. She grabbed an officer and said in a shaking voice. "P-Police officers, Jackson is upstairs! I think he is going insane!"
Hearing this, the captain of the police officers pointed his finger forward and shouted. "Go! Go! Go!"
The officers immediately entered the house and went upstairs. They saw Jackson hugging his legs while shivering.
Two police officers grabbed him and pushed him down. "Stop moving!"
Jackson screamed like a butchered pig as he struggled under their grasp. He even tried to pull an officer's gun, so they had no choice but to tase him.
Zzzaaapppp!
Jackson's movement slowly weakened and foam started to come out of his mouth. Soon, he fell unconscious.
"What a reckless fool! He even has the guts to pull the gun from my holster!" A police officer glared at the unconscious Jackson.
"We can press more charges against him for resisting arrest and endangering our lives. Hmph! I wonder how this bastard offended the son of Mr. Montefalco. Even if we don't press additional charges, he would have to stay in jail for the rest of his life…"

Later that evening, Arlan received a message from Charles.
Arlan, Jackson is already captured by the police, but he is still receiving treatment. I heard that he tried to pull an officer's gun so his sentence might be heavier. With Terrence's help, that guy would have to spend his life in jail! This is a happy event! We should celebrate! Hahaha!
Arlan could sense the joy in Charles message. Jackson oppressed a lot of ordinary workers during his time as the Supervisor of Bakal Brothers Co. This was retribution for all the crimes he committed!
Arlan replied to Charles' message before he put away his phone. He then went to the balcony and stared at the night sky with a carefree smile on his face.

The next day, Arlan woke up and the first thing he did was check the notifications on his phone.

Arlan pressed [Yes] while rubbing his eyes. He had good sleep last night after receiving news about Jackson's arrest.

"Pegasus Hotel? Isn't that the famous 5-star hotel in Makati City?" Arlan was stunned when he saw what he got from the daily rewards. He quickly searched the details of the Pegasus Hotel on the internet and what he saw made him dumbfounded.
The Pegasus Hotel was one of the most famous hotels in the country and its fame has even reached the international level because of its top-notch service and high-quality suites. With a total height of 657 meters, it was the tallest building in Maharlika, making it an iconic landmark in the country! It took more than five years and the combined efforts of many top architects and engineers to build this magnificent building! The total building cost of the tower was a whopping 1.16 billion dollars!
Ring! Ring! Ring!
There was an unknown number calling him and he immediately answered the call.
"Hello, Mr. Roa! This is Krizia Rosalez speaking. I am the General Manager of Pegasus Hotel. I want to ask when is the best time to meet you and go through with the transfer of ownership for the building?" A soothing and angelic voice echoed over the phone.
Arlan was a little stunned by her beautiful voice, but he managed to quickly compose himself. "I have some matters to take care of this morning, but I can squeeze some time to sign the relevant documents for the transfer of ownership. I will interview some people in my villa soon. You can come here and I'll sign the documents after everything is done. Is this fine with you?"
"Yes, Mr. Roa! Just send me the address and I'll be there." Krizia Rosalez replied.
"Good. I'll send you the address later. Bye." Arlan disconnected the call and sent his home address to Krizia. He then saved her phone number to his contacts.
Arlan got up from his bed and stared at his reflection in the giant glass window. His wealth was increasing so rapidly that he couldn't keep up with it mentally. He didn't know how to manage all the wealth he has gotten. "It looks like I have to hire a finance manager." He muttered to himself. He wasn't confident that he could manage his money well all by himself. After all, he was only a construction worker recently, and even with the experience and talents he claimed from the daily rewards, he still didn't know how to properly handle his wealth. Things might be different if he could claim a business talent or the experience of a top businessman. In the meantime, he could only hire a finance manager.
