After getting what he wanted, Ouroboros turned himself invisible once again, disappearing from sight. The door opened and then closed, signifying that he had taken his leave from the private chamber of the spiritual pavilion.
Just after he left, a clear and melodious voice rang in Gaius's ears.
"Master, should I follow him to find out his true identity?"
"Nah, leave it be, Elisha. You'll only embarrass yourself otherwise," Gaius uttered, replying to the owner of the melodious voice.
So many people have tried to find out Ouroboros's true identity, but they've all failed. Gaius didn't think his subordinate would succeed either. After all, although she had mastered the art of manipulating soul power to such a level that she could use soul skills like telepathy, that alone wasn't enough to unmask a meticulous and mysterious person like Ouroboros. Thus, he saved her the fate of failing and embarrassing herself by simply telling her not to pursue the matter.
This chapter is a necessary setup for the events that'll happen in volumes one, two, and three, so do give it a thorough read.
