"Hey, don't die, don't die..." Enmity gasped and blocked He Yingning's wound with his hand. The bullet remained in her body and had to be removed as soon as possible to see if it had damaged the aorta. "If you were dead, wouldn't it be... help me block the gun... dead... I can't bear this sin..."

Enmity's eyes turned red, and her breathing became more and more rapid.

The four men had barged in with guns in their hands. The securities company was full of screams and confusion. They shot the counter without mercy. Glass shards and sawdust flew around in a random direction. Enmity lowered her body, blocking the debris from hitting He Yingning's body.

This was the first time she felt so conflicted on the battlefield. Her reason told her to stay away from trouble and escape with He Yingning at once, but the rage in her heart was blazing so fiercely that, perhaps, only blood could quench it.
