Kyle had almost fallen but he stubbornly resisted.
Joseph Kingsley cried out in agitation for he was unable to knock him down. He wanted to stop and cease the fight but he couldn't. He couldn't relax for he was caught in the entangled wraps of Kyle's boxing style of fighting.
"Kid, you really want to force my hand that you'll end up injured instead?" Joseph Kingsley gritted his teeth.
Kyle agitated him, pestering to continue fighting indirectly. He had to give it to the kid, he was aggressively adamant.
Three minutes later, the[Counter Attack Proficiency Master]skill card was extracted successfully.
Kyle felt a surge of warmth soar through his body. His physical condition increased as a whole and so did his counter-attack fighting skill set. It felt as if he'd practiced the skill for more than a decade and now a simple thought was all he needed to memorize the skill from his heart.
"Stay down!" Joseph Kingsley's aggravation surged to a new high and sent a fist that knocked Kyle known, but suddenly, Kyle grabbed his arms and twisted it back.
Counterattack! Must fight back! Boxing Fight!
The gap between Kyle and Joseph Kingsley closened due to his recent gains. As their skill continued to narrow, the fight which seemed to near its end was now prolonged.
Dust to dust, the two fought against one another to the bitter death. For a moment, none gained the upper hand. They were both on equal terms.
This… this… this is the fight of what a great soldier should be!
The recruits gaped and stared wide-eyed. The fierce fight between Kyle and their instructor attracted the outside forces and soon, many gathered from all four corners as they watched on.
"What happened here?" Passing by, Peggy Carter questioned the officer standing from the side who looked as if he'd seen the beginning and ends of the fight laid before them.
The officer spread his hands helplessly. "That recruit is practicing close combat with Kingsley."
"Joseph Kingsley?" Peggy Carter parted her soft and sexy lips slightly.
"Yes, Joseph Kingsley… the professional training instructor in close combat." The officer grinned bitterly. "I don't know how that recruit did it, but he's been at it with Kingsley for nearly ten minutes."
"What's the name of the recruit?" Peggy Carter opened her documents.
"Kyle. Kyle Soldiers."
… … …
Another skill card had been extracted successfully.
[True Fitness Body]: Rare Green Skill Card. Maintains one's body to a strong and superior state. Healthier than the average person. Endurance and strength are enhanced to a certain degree.
"Success…" Kyle gasped for breath as he smiled lightly.
Sweat soaked his uniform thoroughly and finally, the last physical enhancement skill card was at his beck and call. Though the skill cards improved his physical conditions, the pain and fatigue incurred burnt and ached his body whole.
He pushed his legs forward and jumped back in the battle.
Joseph Kingsley growled and pursued after him.
Kyle suddenly raised his hands. "This Recruit surrenders! No strength left!"
"What?" Joseph Kingsley gasped for air and stopped his fist at the tip of Kyle's nose at the last moment. He drew back his arm and stood upright. "Why?"
"You deserve to be this Recruit' drill instructor! The strength, speed, and fighting skills are far superior to mine! If this Recruit hadn't surrendered at the last minute, this Recruit is afraid that he'd be missing an arm and a leg!" Kyle chuckled and sat down while not forgetting to flatter the instructor.
"You little…" Joseph Kingsley scolded him, sitting on the ground tiredly thereafter without a care for the others watching gaze. "At first, I was only messing around, but later on, it became serious. It has to be said, kid, that your fighting talent is one of a kind. It's the first I've seen in the twenty years since I've started teaching. It's absolutely monstrous!"
It surprised him, it truly did. In this ten-minute long close combat battle, it felt as if Kyle learned his skill ever so quick, and soon, before he realized, his skills improved rapidly!
"It's good to have someone to practice with later." Joseph Kingsley laughed loudly. He liked this kid despite his shameless arrogance.
"No problem." Kyle nodded.
Apart from the three physical enhancement skill card he'd recently extracted, Joseph Kingsley had several other green skill cards under his belt.
Now… only if he could get them…
"You, recruits!" Joseph Kingsley looked around and shouted. "What are you looking at?! Don't you need to be training?! Would you like to practice with me?!"
Uh… Sir… we aren't a monster like Kyle…
