Rhea and Hestia left, and Hades returned to the Elysian Fields. However, after a brief moment of thought, he calmly said, "Hypnos, Thanatos."
No sooner had Hades spoken than the twin gods entered the Elysian Fields through the opened gates of the Underworld, kneeling respectfully. "Lord Hades!"
"Let's go."
"Yes!"
Following Hades' command, the twin gods understood what needed to be done next.
Hades, accompanied by Hypnos and Thanatos, left without hurrying to organize the chaos in the Underworld. Although the Underworld was in a state of disarray, Hades felt there was no rush. He had plenty of time—time was something he no longer lacked.
Naturally, there was no need to be as urgent as he once was, frantically trying to handle everything swiftly.
For gods, regardless of the situation, they tended to take their time. This wasn't because gods were inherently slow but because, as beings of immortality, they saw no need to rush. There was no point in hurrying when time was on their side.
This was the nature of gods. Now, Hades too had returned to embodying this true nature.
As for the matters of the Underworld? They could wait until his return. Hades, with the twin gods in tow, had once again entered the Underworld.
The Underworld!
This was Hades' second visit to the Underworld. The first time, he had slain his father's avatar as the Lord of the Underworld here and reclaimed the Underworld's essence, fully restoring his power.
Since then, step by step, he had gained everything he now possessed.
This time, however, Hades had come with a specific purpose: the Dream Realm and the 3,000 Dream Gods.
The 3,000 Dream Gods had awakened!
In fact, when Hypnos and Thanatos were managing the Underworld's temple and the power of faith, the 3,000 Dream Gods were on the verge of awakening. But the twin gods, knowing their place, waited patiently for Lord Hades to handle this matter himself.
The 3,000 Dream Gods were truly the backbone of the Underworld. While there were many gods in the Underworld, if one were to talk about the largest group, it would be the Dream Gods.
The 3,000 Dream Gods were similar to the 3,000 River Gods and the 3,000 Ocean Goddesses in essence.
However, the difference lay in the fact that the 3,000 Dream Gods represented Erebus and Nyx. As such, being the descendants—or perhaps partial descendants—of these Ancient Gods, the power and nature of the Dream Gods were vastly different from ordinary deities.
But...
"..."
Hades remained silent as he walked through the Underworld, contemplating various matters.
The Underworld!
Hades was well aware of what lay within the Underworld, and one of his plans required the resources of the Underworld to come to fruition. But... everything would have to wait. At the very least, now was not the time.
"Don't rush."
"Everything... should proceed slowly."
Hades continually reminded himself not to be hasty. Rushing could prevent him from reaping the benefits he sought.
He knew that many of his plans were like walking a tightrope—or rather, an electric wire. A single misstep could lead to his demise, even as a God-King, one of the three God-Kings of the Third Pantheon.
Hades was fully aware of this. That's why every step he took had to be cautious, every decision meticulously thought out. Otherwise, things could go terribly wrong.
"Take it slow." Hades suppressed his inner thoughts. Acting now would likely lead to failure, as the chances of success were simply too low.
After all...
At this moment, the Mythical World was gradually returning to peace. In such a world, what could he possibly do? The odds of success were slim to none.
Hades understood this clearly.
For that reason, he never allowed himself to be careless. The gap in power between a God-King and a true Ancient God was immense—so vast that it couldn't be adequately described with words. It was like the difference between heaven and earth.
Given such a terrifying disparity in strength, every one of Hades' plans had to be carefully executed. Moreover, the Mythical World itself would not tolerate what he intended to do.
Hades knew that his plans were almost entirely in opposition to the world itself.
There could be no room for carelessness, not even a little. Any mistake could be fatal. If it came to that...
The mere thought of it was enough to understand what the outcome would be. Hades would die, or at the very least, he would be utterly crippled.
If it came to that, all of Hades' preparations would be meaningless.
Therefore!
Hades knew that he had to be extremely cautious. Erebus and Nyx were also aware of some aspects of his plans, and these two Ancient Gods were helping him prepare.
Hades knew this was a long-term endeavor. However, he also knew that if he succeeded, the benefits and rewards would be immense.
The opportunity would come only once, and only by truly succeeding could he take the next step.
Hades, accompanied by the twin gods, arrived at the sealed entrance to the Dream Realm. He ceased his pondering and quietly stopped, gazing at the entrance before him.
At that moment!
As beautiful lights accompanied him, numerous Underworld butterflies began to flutter around him, emitting delicate, radiant glows.
Underworld butterflies!
These were guardians Hades had left behind to protect the entrance to the Dream Realm. Over the years, the Underworld butterflies had undergone a tremendous transformation, something Hades naturally noticed.
