Bab 523: I'm not weakened, I'm slowly strengthening

Isabelle's health returned slowly.

She was still far from fully healed. Her body felt tired and achy.

Her head throbbed. She was still nauseous. Her stomach hurt.

She didn't have a fever any more. And her symptoms had lessened. She felt stronger, less exhausted and dizzy. Her headache wasn't nearly as bad.

Still.

She felt awful.

She could still barely move. Could barely stand.

Her husbands and servants carried her from the bed to the chair and back again at first, and then helped steady her later, as she began to walk - and quickly ran out of energy.

She hadn't been outside in days.

She could hardly eat.

Annoying.

Depressing.

She didn't like being weak and helpless and in need of constant care.
