Bab 40: Help A Helper

While Gon and Killua continued their rigorous training inside Grover's Accelerated Sanctuary, Yuuma and Nicolias discussed their plans with Biscuit, Knuckle, and Shoot. The sanctuary, a conjured space where time was accelerated, allowed the boys to gain a month's worth of training in just 12 hours, a crucial advantage given the looming threat of the Chimera Ants.

Yuuma glanced at the sanctuary, the ethereal glow of Grover's ability making it stand out against the surrounding landscape. "Gon and Killua are pushing themselves hard in there," he noted. "We need to be prepared for what's coming next."

Biscuit nodded, her expression serious. "They're getting stronger, but the Chimera Ants are a whole different level of threat. We need every advantage we can get."

Knuckle, leaning against a nearby tree, crossed his arms. "So, what's the plan? You've got the tokens, but we can't head to the NGL border without Gon and Killua."

Yuuma agreed. "True. We need to let them complete their training. In the meantime, we should strategize on how we're going to approach the Chimera Ant threat. Netero and his team will be expecting a comprehensive report on what we're facing."

Shoot, who had been quiet, spoke up. "The Chimera Ants are evolving quickly. If we don't act fast, they'll become an even bigger threat. We need to hit them hard and fast before they can organize further."

Nicolias, always the strategist, added, "We've seen what they can do firsthand. Hiboa, that new squadron leader, is incredibly dangerous. We can't afford to underestimate them."

Yuuma turned to Grover, who was observing the sanctuary with a thoughtful expression. "Grover, how long until Gon and Killua are done with their training?"

Grover glanced at the time on his wristwatch, which he used to monitor the sanctuary. "They've got a few more hours. They're making remarkable progress, though. By the time they're out, they should be significantly stronger."

Biscuit smiled proudly. "Good. They'll need all the strength they can get. The Chimera Ants won't show any mercy."

Yuuma nodded, his mind racing with plans. "Once they're done, we'll rendezvous with Netero and his team at the NGL border. We need to brief them on everything we've learned and prepare for a coordinated strike."

As they waited, Yuuma decided to bring up another topic. "Knuckle, Shoot, we had an intense fight earlier. I appreciate you not holding back."

Knuckle grinned. "Hey, no hard feelings. A good fight helps us all get stronger."

Shoot nodded in agreement. "It's all part of the training. We're in this together."

Yuuma smiled. "Exactly. We're going to need all our strength and unity for what's coming next."

As they continued discussing their plans, the hours passed, and the sanctuary's glow began to fade, signaling the end of Gon and Killua's training session. The boys emerged, looking visibly stronger and more determined.

Gon, his eyes filled with newfound resolve, approached the group. "We're ready. Let's go take down those Chimera Ants."

Killua, his usual calm demeanor now carrying an edge of anticipation, nodded. "Yeah, it's time to end this."

With the team now fully assembled and stronger than ever, Yuuma, Nicolias, and the others prepared to head to the NGL border. They knew the upcoming battles would be their toughest yet, but together, they were ready to face whatever challenges awaited them.

Yuuma, seeing the determination in Gon and Killua's eyes, knew he had to be honest with them about the danger they were about to face. "Gon, Killua," he began, his voice serious, "I know you're eager to take on the Chimera Ants, but you're not yet ready to face the ones on Pitou's level, especially if they've gained Nen abilities."

Gon and Killua exchanged glances, their resolve wavering slightly. Yuuma continued, "That's why we need to be strategic. We'll go in pairs. Killua, you'll come with me. Nicolias, you'll go with Gon."

The two boys looked at each other and then nodded in agreement. "Alright," Gon said, "if that's what it takes to be ready, we'll do it."

Yuuma placed a hand on Killua's shoulder. "Killua, there's something important I need to tell you. I suspect you've been controlled by a needle in your brain. It's something your brother Illumi might have planted to manipulate your actions and decisions."

Killua's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "A needle? In my brain? That's impossible..."

Yuuma nodded, his expression grave. "I know it sounds crazy, but it explains a lot about your hesitation and the way you sometimes react. I need you to check."

Killua hesitated, fear and confusion crossing his face. But then, with a determined look, he focused his Nen and scanned his own mind. After a tense moment, his eyes widened further as he sensed something foreign lodged deep within his brain.

"Yuuma... you're right," Killua said, his voice trembling. "There is something there. A needle."

Yuuma nodded. "You need to remove it. It's been controlling you, making you doubt yourself and your abilities."

Killua took a deep breath, focusing his aura. With a sharp burst of Nen, he located the needle and, with a quick and precise motion, pulled it out. The needle, small and sinister, clattered to the ground.

As soon as the needle was removed, Killua felt a wave of clarity and strength wash over him. The doubts and fears that had plagued him dissipated, replaced by a renewed sense of purpose and confidence.

"Thank you, Yuuma," Killua said, his voice steady and resolute. "I feel... free. Like a weight has been lifted off me."

Yuuma smiled. "Good. Now you're ready to fight at your full potential. We need everyone at their best if we're going to face the Chimera Ants and survive."

Meanwhile, Nicolias was talking to Gon, preparing him for the challenges ahead. "Gon, remember, this isn't just about strength. It's about strategy, teamwork, and staying calm under pressure. We'll face them together."

Gon nodded, determination shining in his eyes. "I understand, Nicolias. We'll give it everything we've got."

With their new plan in place and Killua free from Illumi's control, the team felt more unified and prepared than ever. They were ready to head to the NGL border, where Netero and his team awaited, and take on the Chimera Ant threat with all the strength and strategy they could muster.

The group agreed to use Grover's ability, Accelerated Sanctuary, in intervals to maximize their training efficiency. When not inside the sanctuary, they would practice basic techniques and improve their Nen control. Yuuma and Killua planned to enter the sanctuary the following evening, allowing Grover to rest and recuperate his aura.

That evening, as they gathered around a campfire, Yuuma decided it was the right time to have a serious discussion with Killua. The flames flickered, casting dancing shadows on their faces.

"Killua," Yuuma began, his tone gentle but firm, "there's something important I need to talk to you about."

Killua looked up, curious and slightly apprehensive. "What is it, Yuuma?"

Yuuma took a deep breath. "I've noticed something about you, Killua. Despite your incredible skills and instincts, there are times when you seem to hesitate or hold back. I believe it's because you're being controlled by a needle in your brain, something your brother Illumi might have implanted."

Killua's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "A needle? In my brain? That's... that's impossible."

Yuuma shook his head. "I know it sounds crazy, but think about it. Illumi has always been manipulative and controlling. It makes sense that he would use something like this to keep you under his influence. I need you to trust me and check."

Killua hesitated, fear and confusion clouding his features. "But how do I even...?"

Yuuma placed a reassuring hand on Killua's shoulder. "Focus your Nen. Scan your mind and your aura. You'll find it."

With a determined look, Killua closed his eyes and focused his Nen, delving deep into his own mind. After a tense moment, his eyes snapped open, filled with a mixture of shock and anger. "You're right, Yuuma. I can feel it... there's something there."

"Then you need to remove it," Yuuma said softly. "It's been controlling you, making you doubt yourself."

Killua took a deep breath, steeling himself. He focused his Nen once more, and with a sharp burst of energy, he located the needle and pulled it out. The small, sinister object fell to the ground, and Killua felt an overwhelming sense of relief and freedom wash over him.

"I... I did it," Killua said, his voice trembling with emotion. "It's gone."

Yuuma smiled warmly. "Good. Now you can be your true self, without anyone's control. You're free, Killua."

Killua looked at Yuuma, his eyes filled with gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Yuuma. I feel... different. Stronger. More focused."

Yuuma nodded. "That's the real you, Killua. Remember this feeling. Hold onto it. We need you at your best for what's to come."

The next day, Yuuma and Killua, now more united and determined, continued their training with renewed vigor. They practiced their basic techniques and prepared for their next session inside Grover's sanctuary. The bond between them grew stronger, and their confidence in each other's abilities solidified.

As evening approached, Yuuma and Killua prepared to enter the Accelerated Sanctuary. Grover, having rested and replenished his aura, was ready to activate his ability once more.

"Let's give it our all, Killua," Yuuma said, his eyes reflecting determination and confidence. "We'll train harder and come out stronger than ever."

Killua nodded, his eyes mirroring Yuuma's resolve. "Right. Let's do this."

With that, they stepped into the sanctuary, ready to push their limits and prepare for the challenges ahead. Their journey was far from over, but with their newfound strength and unity, they were ready to face whatever came their way.

As Yuuma and Killua stepped into Grover's Accelerated Sanctuary, the ambient aura shimmered around them, indicating the start of their intensive training session. The energy within the sanctuary felt alive, amplifying their Nen abilities and senses.

After a few rounds of practicing basic techniques and refining their Nen control, Yuuma decided it was time to guide Killua towards a new potential without directly giving away the secret. He wanted Killua to develop his abilities naturally, ensuring the growth felt organic and genuinely his own.

"Killua," Yuuma began, his tone thoughtful, "I've been thinking about how you fight. You have incredible speed and agility, probably the best I've ever seen."

Killua nodded, a small smile on his face. "Thanks, Yuuma. Speed has always been my thing."

Yuuma continued, "But what if there was a way to push it even further? To not just rely on physical speed, but to enhance it with your Nen in a way that makes you almost untouchable?"

Killua's interest was piqued. "What do you mean?"

Yuuma paused, choosing his words carefully. "Imagine if you could channel your aura in a way that boosts your speed and reflexes to their maximum potential. Think about how lightning moves – it's fast, almost instantaneous. What if you could mimic that with your Nen?"

Killua's eyes widened as he considered the idea. "Like... becoming lightning?"

Yuuma smiled, pleased to see Killua's mind working. "Something like that. You'd need to focus on both Transmutation and Enhancement. Transmute your aura to mimic the properties of lightning and enhance your body to handle that kind of speed and power."

Killua nodded slowly, deep in thought. "I see... So, I'd need to practice transmuting my aura to feel like electricity, then gradually increase the intensity while making sure my body can keep up."

"Exactly," Yuuma said, encouragement in his voice. "It won't be easy, and it will take a lot of practice, but I believe you can do it. You're already incredibly fast. This would just take it to the next level."

Killua's determination flared in his eyes. "I'll start working on it right away."

For the remainder of their time in the sanctuary, Killua focused on transmuting his aura, experimenting with different intensities and frequencies to find the right balance. Yuuma provided guidance and feedback, helping Killua refine his technique without giving away too much.

By the end of their session, Killua had made significant progress. While he hadn't fully mastered the technique, he could feel the potential within him growing stronger with each attempt.

As they exited the sanctuary, Yuuma placed a reassuring hand on Killua's shoulder. "Keep practicing, Killua. You've got the right idea. With time and effort, you'll be able to achieve something truly remarkable."

Killua nodded, a determined smile on his face. "Thanks, Yuuma. I'll keep at it."

The bond between them strengthened further as they continued their journey together, both knowing that they were on the path to becoming even more formidable Nen users. With their training progressing and their abilities evolving, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
